the kind and construction of the tool the
foreseeable potential endangerments can
be:
Contact with the unprotected cutting
teeth.
Involve fingers or hands into the moving
cutting blade.
Unexpected, sudden movement of the
cutting blade.
Thrown away of chips, it may damage
your eyes.
Damage of the hearing, if no protection
of the ears is carried.
4) Keep in mind that the operator or user is
responsible for accidents or hazards oc-
curring to other people or their property.
5) Always wear suitable clothing when using
the machine. Your dealer can provide you
with all the information on the most suit-
able accident-prevention devices to guar-
antee your safety.
6) Mow only in daylight or good artificial
light.
For your safety and that
of others:
1) Do not use the machine without having
read the instructions carefully. Become
acquainted with the controls and the pro-
per use of the machine. Learn how to stop
the motor quickly.
2) Only use the machine for its intended use,
that is “the cutting and trimming of hedges,
consisting in plants with small sized
branches”. Any other use may be danger-
ous and severly damage the machine. Ex-
amples of improper use may include, but
are not limited to:
general grass cutting and in particular,
near kerbs;
chopping material for composts;
pruning;
using the machine for cutting non-plant
material;
use of the machine by more than one
person.
3) Residual risks: even all the safety rule are
obeyed, there still can be a certain resid-

To go from one level to another, press the switch (4)

STOPPING THE MOTOR (Fig. 2)
To stop the motor:
Release the handle of the safety switch (2) and
the switch (3).
Remove the accumulator (1) from its compart-
ment.
When the motor is switched
off, a few sparks may be seen near the ventilation
slots; this is perfectly normal and does not damage
the tool in any manner.
NOTE
STARTING THE MOTOR (Fig. 2)
Before starting the motor:
Remove the blade protection devices.
Make sure the blade is not touching the ground
or any other object.
Make sure that the front handgrip is locked in
the centre position.
Insert the accumulator (1) inside its compart-
ment.
To start the motor:
1. Hold the machine firmly with both hands.
2. Rotate the handle of the safety switch (2 – located
in the front handgrip) and press the switch (3).
Both switches must be en-
abled in order to switch the motor on and keep it run-
ning. The motor will stop if either switch is released.
