Air Pressure: selections are bar and hPa. The default setting is hPa.
Oil/Boost Pressure: selections are bar, psi and kPa. The default setting is kPa.
Fuel: selections are l, UK gal and US gal. The default setting is US gal.
Display Color : Changes the background colors to enhance the visibility of the screen depending on the
surrounding light conditions. Normal (default) is recommended when the CPN Series
Chart Plotter is not exposed to the direct sunlight. When this mode is set the charts are
displayed in order to use colors as similar as possible to ones used in the original paper
charts. Night is recommended when the environment is dark in order to reduce the glare
of the display. SunLight is designed to enhance the visibility of the screen when the CPN
Series Chart Plotter is exposed to sunlight. Classic uses vivid chart colors presentation.
NOAA allows setting NOAA paper chart colors presentation.
Cursor Speed : Selects the speed of the cursor when navigating the CHART page or within the menus.
Low, Medium (default) and High.
Measure Distance : When this function is On, tap (or move the ShuttlePoint knob) on a location where you
want to start measuring a distance and press the
rotary knob (see A). Tap on a second
location where you want to finish measuring a distance and press the
rotary knob. A
line appears between the Start and Finish points and a popup window will be shown
indicating the distance and bearing from the Start and Finish points (see B). Tap on the
Soft Key to delete both points. The default setting is Off.
Chart Page Window : Allows selection of data windows. Selections are None, General, 1 line small, 1 line
large and 2 lines small (default). The data windows may be customized (see “Customizing
Data Windows” in the Par. 2.13.3 “Chart page”) and may be collapsed or shown to show
more or less chart area (see “Collapsing Data Windows” in the Par. 2.13.3 “Chart page”).
Language : Allows changing the language for menus and data screens. English is the default.
Auto Info : When the cursor is moved over a buoy, Mark or other item a popup window will show
information about the item. This menu item allows the window to be turned Off, On Points
(default) or On All.
Home Mode Revert : Sets the timeout (among 10 sec, 30 sec, 1 min (default), 2 mins, 5 mins and Off) after
which the CPN Series Chart Plotter goes back from Cursor Mode to Home Mode.
Cursor Window : By default when the cursor is moved on the chart a window is shown with the Lat/Lon
Distance and Bearing from the vessels location to the cursor. This selection allows the
window to be turned On (default) or Off. It appears only on the Chart pages (Single, Dual
and Chart/Highway). The Cursor Window is automatically disabled when General is set
in Chart Page Window option.
Chart Control Icon : Opens a menu with two items:
SHOWN: the chart control touchscreen icon can be permanently shown (default) or it
can be shown for a while (timeout) when the keyboard is touched. Select the timeout
among 2 sec, 5 sec, 10 sec, Permanent and Off. Note that if the Chart Control Icon has
a timeout the icon reappears when you tap the chart.
LOCATION: the chart control touchscreen icon can be shown on the Right or Left
(default) top side of the screen.
Built-In Charts : FOR NORTH AMERICA USERS ONLY Enables (On) or disables (Off) the Built-In
Charts. The default is On.
