ENGLISH 25
Avoid any contact between the cut-off wheel and body parts or objects.
x Put one foot on the rear handle (6) to support the
power tool against the floor.
x Securely hold the power tool at the top handle (4)
with one hand and push it firmly onto the ground.
x Operate the starter handle with the other
hand (16).
Other start-up positions are not permissible!
The following notes serve to increase the service life of the starter mechanism:
x Initially pull out the starter handle (16) slowly until
resistance can be felt for start-up (upper dead
point of the piston).
x Then quickly and strongly pull through the starter
handle.
x Always pull out the rope straight.
x Do not let the rope scrape across the rope eyelet
edge (a).
x Danger of breaking rope!
Do not pull out the rope to the stop.
x Always return the starter handle to its initial
position – do not let it snap back.
Damaged starter ropes can be replaced by
specialist workshops authorised by us.
Release the throttle control and push the one-touch stop button.
Ensure that the cut-off wheel has stopped before putting down the power tool.
Recommendation: Turn the stop dial to "0" only for maintenance work to prevent accidental start-up of the
engine. When operating the power tool, always push the one-touch stop button to switch off the engine.
