SAFETY FEATURES IN YOUR

SOLIS MILK FROTHER

 STANDBY MODE

• The milk frother switches to standby mode after 30 seconds without use, the

button surround stops shining or ﬂashing.

To retrieve the appliance from standby mode, you simply have to press the

START/STOP button and the appliance starts up. The button surround ﬂashes.

 BOIL DRY PROTECTION

• The milk frother shuts down as soon as the jug overheats. This can happen if the

appliance has been switched on without milk in the jug, if the milk in the jug does

not reach the MIN marking or if the appliance was used multiple times in a row.

In this case, a threefold signal sounds. If this happens, you should disconnect the

power plug from the socket, wait for approx. 5 minutes so that the milk frother

can cool down or ﬁll the jug with cold water so that it cools down faster. Once

the jug has cooled down, you can start using the milk frother again.

 THERMAL FUSE PROTECTION

• Should a larger error occur, the overheating protection is triggered, the appliance

shuts down and can not be used again. In this case, pull the plug immediately

and bring the appliance to Solis or a service centre authorised by Solis.

 THE COLD STIR FUNCTION

• With the COLD STIR function, you can froth cold milk or froth milk that is already

warm without heating it again. With that, the COLD STIR function allows you to

make milk froth for cold drinks like iced cappuccino or caffè latte, stirring in syrup

or instant chocolate powder to make iced chocolate or generally stirring instant

drinking powder into the milk. Never put ice into the jug!

• In the COLD STIR function, the appliance is in use for 60 seconds before it stops

automatically.
