NOTE: when the device is used the first few times, some
odour may be generated by the device due to the heating
of the motor. This is harmless. Please ensure adequate ven-
tilation.
1. Remove all packing materials.
2. Check to ensure that all parts are present and undam-
aged.
3. Clean the device prior to first use! (see “Clean-
ing and servicing the device” on page 36).
4. Figure A: unwind the power cable10 only as far
from the cable spool22 as necessary.
5. Place the base unit13 on a level, dry, non-slip and
waterproof surface so that the device can neither fall
over nor slip off.
Select a smooth surface so that the suction feet11
are able to attach themselves.
DANGER! Risk of injury!
~Do not insert the mains plug10 into a wall socket until
the food processor has been completely assembled for

WARNING! Risk of material damage!
~Do not use the device to chop particularly hard food
such as bones or nutmegs.
Wash and clean vegetables, fruit and herbs.
Remove stems (e.g. from herbs), hard peels (e.g. from
nuts) and parts which you do not wish to process (e.g.
apple seeds).
Use fresh herbs in a dry condition.
Remove sinews, bones and gristle from the meat.
Remove the cheese rind.
Process cheese and meat only if they are well cooled.
Soft cheese (e.g. mozzarella) can also be briefly fro-
zen.
For processing with the blade assembly8 and in the
mini crusher15 + 16, cut the food into small pieces of
a similar size.
For processing with discs 5, 4 cut the food up until it is
so small that it fits into the central food chute. Food
with a long shape (such as carrots, cucumbers, cour-
gettes) can be processed whole. These are placed up-
right into the food chute. They should fill the width of
the food chute as much as possible so that they are un-
able to fall over.
For processing with the French fries disc6 the potatoes
must fit into the large food chute so that they will not
protrude beyond the MAX mark on the food chute of
the lid3. If necessary, cut the potatoes into suitable
pieces.
For processing with the citrus press18 + 20 select
ripe citrus fruits. These have more juice. Cut the citrus
fruits across the segments in half.
