13. Maintenance / cleaning
13.1. Maintenance
WARNING! Servicing is necessary if the automatic bread maker has been damaged
or if liquids or objects have penetrated the housing, if the automatic bread maker has
been exposed to rain or moisture or if it does not work properly or has been dropped. If
smoke is produced, or there are any unusual sounds or smells, switch off the automatic
bread maker immediately and remove the mains plug from the socket. In such cases, the
automatic bread maker should not be used until it has been inspected by authorised
service personnel. Only have qualified personnel carry out the servicing on the device.
Never open the housing of the automatic bread maker.
You can obtain information on spare parts via our service hotline. (see section 18
"Warranty and servicing advice")
13.2. Cleaning
DANGER! Remove the mains plug from the socket before cleaning as there is a risk of
an electric shock!
DANGER! The automatic bread maker must not be immersed in water! This poses a
risk of an electric shock and short circuit.
DANGER! Wait until the automatic bread maker has cooled down completely.
Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!
Device parts and accessories of the automatic bread maker are not dishwasher-proof. Do not use
any chemical, cleaning solvents or strong detergents to clean the automatic bread maker. You thus
avoid damage to the automatic bread maker and cleaning residues in the next breads. To clean the
device, proceed as follows:
Device housing, cover and baking compartment
•First, remove the dough hooks (7) and the baking tin (8).
•Now remove all residue from the baking compartment with a damp cloth or soft sponge.
•Then clean the cover (2) and the device housing also with a damp cloth or soft sponge.
•Now dry the baking compartment, the cover (2) and the device housing thoroughly with a soft,
dry cloth.
Baking tin, dough hooks and other accessories
The surfaces of the baking tin (8) and dough hooks (7) have a non-stick coating. To ensure this non-
stick coating continues to work, do not clean the device with any aggressive or abrasive cleaning
agents or any objects that could scratch and damage the surface.
