operation. Only use the handle (8) to hold or carry the kettle (4).
Hot steam is released when the water boils. Make sure not to burn yourself.

directed away from you.
8. Maintenance/cleaning
DANGER of burn injuries
Wait until the kettle (4) has cooled down completely before cleaning it.
Otherwise you could burn yourself.
DANGER of electric shock
Always remove the plug from the power socket before cleaning commences.
Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the base (5) or immerse it into water or
any other liquids. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock and a fire hazard
due to short circuits.
WARNING of damage to property
Do not use any scratching or abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive objects
(such as a metal scourer) for cleaning purposes. Otherwise the kettle may be
damaged.
Rinse the inside of the kettle (4) with clear water.
Clean the outer surfaces of the kettle (4) or base (5) with a slightly damp cloth. Use some
washing up-liquid on the damp cloth for stubborn stains. Make sure to remove any detergent
residue from the kettle (4) and base (5) before using the kettle again. Dry the kettle (4) and
base (5) thoroughly before the next use.
You can use a cleaning or bottle brush with a long handle to remove stubborn
stains from inside the kettle (4).
8.1 Descaling the kettle (4)
Limescale may build up in the kettle (4) over time. This can lead to loss of energy and shorten the
kettle’s service life. You should therefore remove the limescale as soon as it becomes visible.
Use a descaling agent that is used for coffee machines and other household devices. Proceed
as described in the instructions for the descaling agent.
Rinse the kettle (4) with plenty of clear water several times after descaling it.
