8.2 Cleaning the limescale filter (1)

A limescale filter (1) is installed in the kettle (4). You should clean the limescale filter from time to

time. Proceed as follows to clean the limescale filter (1):

 Remove the cooled down kettle (4) from the base (5).

 Open the lid (10) by pressing the lid release button (9).

 Reach carefully into the kettle (4) with

your hand, grasp the catch of the

limescale filter (1) at the upper end.

Press the catch downwards, tilt the

limescale filter (1) inwards and remove

it.

 Place the limescale filter (1) in a warm

descaling solution for household

appliances (such as for coffee

machines) for several hours and then

rinse it thoroughly with clear water.

 Replace the limescale filter (1) by firstly

inserting the lower end into the T-

shaped recess at the bottom of the

spout. Now tilt the compressed catch of

the limescale filter (1) towards the spout

until it snaps into place.

 Close the lid (10) by pressing it down.

8.3 Storing the device when not in use

If the kettle will not be used for a longer period of time, store it in a clean and dry place.

 Let the kettle (4) cool down fully before you store it.

 Wrap the power cable (6) around the cable rewind under the base (5) and store the kettle in a

safe, dust-free place.

9. Troubleshooting

If your kettle does not work as usual, use the following instructions to try and solve the problem. If

working through the following tips does not eliminate the fault, please contact our hotline (see the

‘Warranty information’ section).

The kettle is not working

 The plug is not inserted. Insert the plug into the power socket.
