• Use the drop-down list to select and provide details for different devices

associated with the new contact.

• Click the Contact Details button to open the

Add Contact

dialog and enter

additional information for the new contact before updating your contact list.

• Click the OK button to add the new contact to the your contact list.

• Click the Cancel button if you decide not to add a new contact.

Add Contact

The OpenScape Desktop Client contact list can contain names from several

sources. You can add names that are in your groupware contact list. You can add

names of other OpenScape Desktop Client users. You can also add external

contacts.

When you add a person to your OpenScape Desktop Client contact list, the

system automatically sends a presence subscription request to any contact who

is an OpenScape Desktop Client user with an entered UserID. The contact’s

presence (for example, whether the contact is available for an IM session) cannot

be seen until contact accepts your subscription request.

If the contact you want to add is an OpenScape Desktop Client user, use the

search function to find the user in your global directory and add the OpenScape

Desktop Client user to the contact list.

• If you have an image that you want to associate with the contact, click the

Select Image button.

Name Enter a last name up to 64 characters.

First Name Enter a first name up to 64 characters.

Address Enter a street address up to 64 characters.

Zip code Enter a zip code up to 7 characters in the first field. The second field allows

up to 40 characters.

Company Enter a company name up to 64 characters.

Department Enter a department name up to 64 characters.

Room Number Enter a room number up to 32 characters.

State Enter a state name up to 40 characters.

Country Enter a country name up to 40 characters.

Internet Page Enter a URL up to 64 characters.

OK Save any changes and close the display.

Cancel Close the display without saving or making any changes.
