10. MALFUNCTION REMEDIES
- Vibrations and noise of the machine
- Elements not locked (adjusting hand wheel, locking leer,
handles or other fences and stop)
- Check tool tensioning
- Saw blade badly sharpened or blunt
- The machine does not stand safely. Fix it to the ground
- Have the ball bearings replaced if they are too loud
- Check the belt tensioning
- The cutting action turns the wood black - The tools are badly sharpened
- The tools are incorrectly fitted. Observe the turning direction
- Rapid wear of the tool - The tools are badly sharpened
- The feeding speed is too high
- Do not force the feed
- Push the work piece without jerks
- The wood is dirty (cement, sand, nails...)
- The motor get exceptionally hot - Have the motor checked by a specialist if it cannot be touched
any more by hand
- The motor frequently cuts off - Have it checked by a specialist
- The machine squeezes - Work piece to be cut too high. Reduce the height ad make
several passages.
- Feeding speed too high
- Tools worn. Replace or sharpen them
- The mobile elements obnly move heavily - Clean the gear wheels, axles, and grease them, if needed
- Regularly clean the threaded spindles and remove dirt or
grease mixed with sawdust,
- Check wether the machine doors are well closed
- The knob for switching off is locked
- The machine does not start - Check whether the fuses of the switchbox are allright
- Check the positon of the guards
