Note:
If you nd that the FM reception is poor, try repositioning the antenna.
If you nd that an FM broadcast has a lot of background hiss, this may
often be reduced by setting the radio into Mono reception mode for the
current FM station. Please refer to the later section“Stereo (AUTO)/
Mono setting - FM”.
Manual tuning – FM/AM
1. Fully extend the FM antenna located on the rear of your radio.
2. Press and release the Standby button to switch on your radio.
3. Press the Source button repeatedly to select the desired frequency
band.
4. Rotate the Tuning control knob to tune to a station. The frequency
will change in steps of 50 kHz/100 kHz in FM or 9 kHz/10 kHz in AM.

cient signal strength with
RBDS information present, then the display may change to show the
station name.
5. When the frequency band end is reached, the radio will
recommence tuning from the opposite frequency band end.
6. Set the Volume to the desired setting.
7. To switch off your radio press and release the Standby button.
FM / AM step setting
1. Press and hold the Source button until a beep sounds when your
radio is in standby mode. The “MENU” indicator will appear and ash
on the upper right corner of the screen. Rotate the Tuning control
knob until FM xkHZ or AM xkHZ appears on the display, and press
the Select button to enter FM/AM step setting. The digit “x” will ash
on the display.
2. Rotate the Tuning control knob to select 50 kHz/100 kHz for FM
radio, and 9 kHz/10 kHz for AM radio. Then press the Select button
to conrm the setting.
Note:
The tuning steps for North America are FM: 100 kHz and AM: 10 kHz
The rest of the world is FM: 50 kHz and AM: 9 kHz
Time display options
1. Press and hold the Source button until a beep sounds when your
radio is in standby mode. Select “DISP TIME” option, all display
options except the text display will revert to the clock display after
about 10 seconds.
2. To return to display option, rotate the Tuning control knob to select
DISP TIME, press the Select button , the TIME will ash, rotate
the Tuning control knob to select “DISP FREQ” to conrm the setting.
