Luchttoevoer open Tijdens het aanmaken en bijvullen moet de primaire en secundaire

luchttoevoer maximaal geopend worden.

Gecontroleerde verbranding Zodra het vuur goed brandt, kan de luchttoevoer verminderd worden, al

naargelang de warmtebehoefte. Door de luchttoevoer te verminderen, zal

het hout minder snel opbranden. Vermijd echter dat het vuur versmoort.

Er moeten dus altijd heldere vlammen zijn.

Luchttoevoer gesloten De luchttoevoer mag enkel gesloten worden nadat het hout volledig is

opgebrand. Wanneer de haard niet wordt gebruikt, moet de luchttoevoer

steeds gesloten zijn.

Aanmaken

1. Zorg voor maximale luchttoevoer bij het aanmaken van de haard

2. Open de vuurdeur en plaats aanmaakhout zoals hieronder weergegeven

3. Leg daartussen 2 à 3 aanmaakblokjes, mooi verspreid, vooraan en achteraan

4. Steek de aanmaakblokjes aan

5. Zet indien nodig de deur tijdens het aanmaken een paar minuten op een kier

6. Verminder de luchttoevoer zodra het vuur goed brandt. Regel de luchttoevoer tot er rustige vlammen

ontstaan.

Indien er 15 minuten na het ontsteken nog steeds terugslag is van de rookgassen door slechte

atmosferische omstandigheden (bv. bij windstil of mistig weer) dient men het aanmaken te stoppen tot er

weersverbetering is.
