 The appliance is not qualified for continuous operation. Allow

the appliance to cool down for about 2 minutes after every

vacuum-sealing cycle.

 Prevent suction of liquids into the vacuum chamber. In the event liquids

enter the vacuum chamber, please remove them with a towel.

 After each use pull the mains plug for safe switch-off.

 Never immerse the casing, power cord and mains plug in water for

cleaning.

 Only operate appliance and accessories in dry condition.

Prior to initial use

For a start, please clean the appliance as well as all accessories. For more detailed information please refer to “Cleaning

and maintenance”.

Operating the appliance

NOTE: Do not store the appliance with LOCK-buttons locked.

Vacuum sealing with plastic bags or rolls

Always place the appliance on a dry, stable and level base. Please provide for sufficient space in front of the appliance to

place the bags with the food to be vacuum-sealed.

Connect the mains plug to a socket corresponding to the voltage the appliance is designed for (see technical data) and

switch on the appliance using the main switch (the green control light will light up).

Only use genuine Rommelsbacher Magic Vac

vacuum bags/rolls with grooved structure. The bags are available in two

widths: 20 cm and 30 cm. Opt for the bag size suitable to accommodate your food to be preserved. Make sure that the

bag is at least 8 cm longer than the food to be vacuum-sealed.

A) Vacuum sealing with bags

 Open the cover (8) completely.

 Put the food into the bag, however without creating wrinkles or straining the surface of the bag. Remove any liquids

and particles from the area of the bag’s inner surface where the sealing seam is meant to be.

 Put the bag with its contents in front of the appliance and place the bag’s open edge into the vacuum chamber (15)

(fig. H).

 Shut the cover (8). First press down on both sides of the cover with your thumbs and then press the LOCK-buttons

(12) so that they lock in place (fig. I). The appliance will start the vacuum sealing cycle automatically. Wait until the

SEAL MIN indicator (6a) or the SEAL MAX indicator (6b) stops blinking.

 Press the manual valve (9) (fig. L).

 Open the cover and remove the bag.

 Check the sealing seam. A correct sealing seam should be a smooth straight seam without wrinkles and the seam

should no longer show any design of the lower layer (fig. G).

 The appliance can be stopped at any time by pressing the manual valve (9). The appliance only stops when the cover

is lifted.
