B) Vacuum sealing with rolls
Unroll a suitable length for vacuum sealing (fig. B) and close the lid of the roll compartment (7).
Applying equal pressure, move the cutting device (11) to the left or the right across the width of the bag. This results
in a clean cut with straight cut corners (fig. C).
First seal one open side of the bag as follows:
Open the cover (8) completely.
Now seal one open side of the bag. To do this place one open end of the bag with the plain side up onto the sealing
bar (16) (fig. D).
NOTE: The bag must not reach into the vacuum chamber (15) or overlie the gasket (14).
Close the cover (8). First press down on both sides of the cover with your thumbs and then press the LOCK-buttons
(12) so that they lock in place (fig. E). The appliance starts the vacuum sealing cycle automatically. Wait until the
SEAL MIN indicator (6a) or the SEAL MAX indicator (6b) goes off.
Press the manual valve (9) (fig. F).
Open the cover and remove the bag. Check the sealing seam. A correct sealing seam should be a smooth straight
seam without wrinkles and the seam should no longer show any design of the lower layer (fig. G).
C) Vacuum sealing with “Executive“ containers or with universal lids
The smoke-coloured containers and universal lids with star-shaped knob (fig. Q) make vacuum sealing easier as they
allow the connection hose to be inserted directly into the middle hole of the knob (fig. R). Use the universal lids
(available with a diameter of 100 mm and 125 mm) for preserving jars and temperature-resistant pots and bowls. The
universal lids work just the same way as the lids for the “Executive” containers.
ATTENTION: Vacuuming pressure may cause very thin plastic and glass containers to implode and cause injury.
These are therefore not suitable for vacuum sealing with universal lids.
Fill the container leaving at least 3 cm gap from the upper rim and place the lid on the rim of the container. Turn the
knob to “VACUUM” (fig. Q).
Put one end of the connection hose (20) into the hose port of the appliance (10) and the other end into the knob of
the lid of the container (fig. R).
Snap the cover in place (8) with the LOCK-buttons (12). The appliance will start the vacuum sealing cycle and
switches off automatically.
Remove the connection hose from the knob of the container.
Turn the knob to “CLOSED”.
To open the container turn the knob to "OPEN". The sound of air rushing back should be heard. This sound shows that
the contents have been stored in a vacuum.
D) Vacuum sealing with “Family” containers
Convenient multi-purpose containers for perfect storage in pantries and refrigerators. They are perfect for frequent use, e.
g. for storing dry and fragile food, such as biscuits, flour, coffee or rice.
Fill the containers, leaving at least 3 cm of space to the upper rim and place the lid on the rim of the container.
Put one end of the connection hose (20) into the hose port of the appliance (10) and the other end into the
vacuuming cap of the lid of the container (fig. S).
Snap the cover in place (8) using the LOCK-buttons (12). The appliance will start the vacuum sealing cycle and
switches off automatically.
Remove the connection hose from the lid of the container.
To open the container press the middle knob (21) (fig. S).
