The prepared dishes are
overcooked
• Cooking time too long. Reduce the cooking time (see cooking table).
• Steam pressure too high, try the lower steam pressure level.
• Check whether the dishes are suitable for cooking with steam pressure.
The appliance does not
heat up
• Is the appliance correctly connected to the power supply?
• Eventually the heating plate is defective, please contact your service point.
Water or steam leaks
out of the appliance
during the cooking
process
Gasket ring
• Check whether the gasket ring is placed correctly in the lid, if necessary
re-position it.
• Check whether the gasket ring shows any damages, if necessary replace it.
• Check whether there are soilings on the gasket ring, if necessary, clean it.
• Check whether there are soilings on the bayonet lock of the lid resp. the
pressure pot, if necessary, clean it.
Steam outlet valve
• Check whether the black valve cap is positioned well on the valve, if neces-
sary, re-position it.
• Check whether the protective cap is positioned correctly on the valve, if
necessary, re-position it.
• Check whether there are any soilings in the valve, if necessary, clean with a
pointed item (e. g. tooth pick made of wood - no metal).
Pressure valve for lid locking
• Check whether the transparent valve cap shows any damages, if necessary,
replace it.
• Check whether there are soilings at the sealing cap or at the valve bottom,
if necessary, clean it.
Steam cannot be
released by the steam
outlet valve
• Press the button for the steam outlet valve for several times in order to
loosen possibly blockings.
• Release pressure manually.
Let the appliance cool down, thus the pressure is reduced automati-
cally, however this may take some time!

Put on a heat-resistant glove or something similar.
Carefully lift the cap of the steam outlet valve at an angle with a long
object in order to release still existing pressure.
Lid is difficult to be
closed
• The gasket ring is not inserted properly, if necessary, readjust the gasket ring.
• Safety bolt of the lid lock is blocked, if necessary, loose the blocking by
moving it back and forth.
Lid is difficult to be
opened or cannot be
opened
• There is still steam pressure in the appliance, if necessary, release steam by
pressing the button for the steam outlet valve.
Display “AUF“(open) /
“ZU“(closed)
• Lid is not positioned properly on the appliance, if necessary, close lid pro-
perly by turning it clockwise until the stop.
Display “EC“ • The chosen programme is not suitable for cooking with lid, remove the lid.
Display “Ed“ • The selected programme requires an attached lid. Put the lid on the appli-
ance.
Display “E1“ to “E18“ • Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down.
• Check if mains voltage is correct and start again. If the error still occurs,
please contact your service point.
