Residual heat indication
The residual heat indication warns you after switch-off from the hot cooking zone,
but also advises you of the residual heat which can be used.
The display shows the symbol “H”. Do not touch the hot cooking zone!
The residual heat indication remains active also in off mode.
As soon as the residual heat gets less, the symbol “H” is replaced by “h” in the
display, which will go out soon then.
Child-proof lock
The child-proof lock allows for locking the sensors in order to avoid any accidental change of the settings.
The control continuous working in the previously set mode (also in off mode), however, no other sensors –
except for the ON/OFF sensor for switching the appliance off – can be operated any more. The child-proof
lock remains also active in off mode.
Activating the child-proof lock
It is only possible to activate the lock if the control is ON.
By simultaneously applying the MINUS sensor (of the left cooking zone at the double cooking
plate) and the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor and holding them for ca. 3 seconds, the whole control
will be locked. A 3x blinking “L” in the display and a signal tone indicate the active locking as
soon as a sensor is applied.
Deactivating the child-proof lock
For deactivating the lock and for realising all sensors, the MINUS sensor and the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor
must be again simultaneously applied and held for ca. 3 seconds. A signal tone is audible, the indication
“U” blinks 3x for a short while.
Afterwards, the previous setting or “H”/“h” for residual heat appears and all sensors can be operated again.
Switching-off by means of the ON/OFF sensor while the child-proof lock is active
If the control is completely switched off by means of the ON/OFF sensor while the child-proof lock is active,
all displays distinguish but the residual heat indication “H”/“h” might glow.
Switching the appliance on again is only possible after deactivating the child-proof lock (see above)!
After pulling the mains plug, the child-proof lock will not be active any more!
Tip: Apply the DUAL-CIRCUIT sensor twice, then apply the MINUS sensor additionally so that the desired
setting remains.
Operating time limitation
The operating time limitation causes an automatic switch-off of a cooking zone if the setting has not
been changed for a certain period of time. The periods of the operating time limitation depend on the set
cooking level. You can see the respective values in the following chart “Cooking level parameters”.
After an automatic switch-off, the cooking zone can be switched on anew and the max. operating time is
active again.
