• Use suitable cleaning agents for glass ceramic cooktops. These agents are applied on the cooktop by
means of a kitchen tissue and rubbed in until there is no soiling visible anymore.
• Make sure no water or steam may infiltrate the appliance from below.
• If there is any dirt visible in the area of the ventilation slots, it can be removed from the outside by
means of a vacuum cleaner.
• Never use oven spray or stain removers!
• Never use steel wool, abrasives or solvents. Do not use sharp or scratchy objects!
• Never treat appliance and attachments with a steam cleaner!
Special cleaning agents and scrapers for the glass surface can be purchased in stores.
Error codes
The electronic control features several internal monitoring functions. If an error occurs, the power supply
will be quit and an error code will appear on the display. In addition there is an acoustic signal during the
first 60 seconds.
--- Pot recognition:
The cooking zone features a sensor which verifies whether there is cookware on the cooking zone.
If no suitable pot is recognized on the cooking zone after switch-on, the display will show “---”.
Self-help: Place a pot on the cooking zone within 15 seconds; otherwise the electronics will
switch the unit into the standby mode.

An error has occurred in an electronic circuit of the appliance due to excessively low voltage
(<160 V~).
Self-help: Make sure the appliance is connected to the voltage indicated on the rating label.

An Error has occurred in an electronic circuit of the appliance due to excessively high voltage
(>270 V~).
Self-help: Make sure the appliance is connected to the voltage indicated on the rating label.

There is an error/short-circuit in one of the electronic circuits.
Self-help: Not possible – the appliance must be forwarded to the customer service.

Temperature sensor:
The temperature sensor underneath the glass ceramic plate delivers an undue value.
Self-help: First unplug the appliance! Allow the appliance to stand for a while in order to adjust
to the surrounding temperature. After cooling, the appliance can be operated again.
