disconnect the mains plug.

Cleaning and maintenance
Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Then remove all food residues and splashes of oil from
the hot zone of the grill surface using the included cleaning scraper. This is done most easily if
you discard the residues from the hot zone into the fat-collecting channel right after the grilling
procedure. While doing so, protect your hands with an ovencloth or a cooking glove.
Then clean the cold grill surface with dishwater and wipe it dry with a clean cloth or kitchen
tissue. If food residues have burnt into the grill surface, soak them by dripping some dishwater
onto the glass plate.
If some stubborn residues are still left on the cold surface after that cleaning procedure,
you can remove them using an appropriate cleanser for Ceran
®
cooking surfaces. For this end
rub the entire grill surface with some drops of the cleaning agent using a kitchen tissue until
no residues are visible anymore.
Right afterwards the entire grill surface is wiped in wet condition several times
(e.g. with a kitchen tissue, sponge or cloth soaked with water). Then dry with a clean cloth.
Make sure no cleanser residues have remained on the grill surface.
Never immerse the appliance in water and use no steam jet appliances. Make sure no water or
steam may inltrate the appliance from below either. Never use abrasives, steel wool or sharp,
scratchy objects.
