EXP1 = 3-POINT CURVE (EXPONENTIAL)
The “EXP1” function is used to alter the characteristic curve of the transmitter
control into a non-linear (exponential) curve, symmetrical ar
ound the centre point.
The exponential curve can be applied in either direction.
Positive pr
efix: strong control response around the neutral position, reducing
towards the end-points.
Negative prefix: w
eak control response around the neutral position, increasing
towards the end-points.
To change the degree of exponential simply press the button field “EXP A” or “EXP
B” and enter the appropriate value.
For a simple symmetrical setting activate the “Separate.” button field and select
Combine.”.
The end-points are altered using “Rate A / B”.
OFFSET
The Of
fset setting changes the neutral position of the transmitter control relative to
the servo centr
e point. If the offset value is up to 50%, the travel remains the same
for both sides of neutral, but if the value is any higher, the servo travel will be at its
end-point at one extreme, so the travel becomes increasingly asymmetrical.
EXP2 = 2-POINT CURVE (EXPONENTIAL)
The “EXP2” function is used to alter the characteristic curve of the transmitter
control in a non-linear manner between the two end-points.
The exponential curve can be applied in either dir
ection.
Positive pr
efix: upward curve.
Negative prefix: downward curve.
Press the button field “EXP” and set the value.
For a simple symmetrical setting activate the “ Separate.” button field and select
Combine.”.
The end-points ar
e altered using “Rate A / B”.
OFFSET
The Offset setting changes the neutral position of the transmitter control relative
to the servo centr
e point. If the of
fset value is up to 50%, the travel remains the
same for both sides of neutral, but if the value is any higher, the servo travel will be
at its end-point at one extreme, so the travel becomes increasingly asymmetrical.
VTR = 5-POINT CURVE (VARIABLE TRI-RATE)
The VTR curve is a variable 5-point curve which divides the transmitter control
characteristic curve into two gradients, symmetrically around the zer
o point. In
principle this equates to linear travel reduction (Dual Rate), but in this case the
servo still reaches maximum travel at the end of the transmitter control travel.
Setting:
First set the transmitter control reduction using P
.RA
TE A / P.RATE B, for exam-
ple 50% = 40% of travel.
Now define the “elbow” point using P.POS A / P.POS B; around 85% is a good
starting point.
If necessary adjust the end-points using Rate A / Rate B.
For a simple symmetrical setting activate the “ Separate.” button field and select
Combine.”.
OFFSET
The Offset setting changes the neutral position of the transmitter contr
ol r
elative
to the servo centre point. If the offset value is up to 50%, the travel remains the
same for both sides of neutral, but if the value is any higher, the servo travel will be
at its end-point at one extreme, so the travel becomes increasingly asymmetrical.
