4. Change the incline of the treadmill as desired.
To change the
i
ncline of the
treadmill, press
t
he Incline in-
crease and de-
crease buttons.
Each time you press the Incline increase or de-
crease button, the incline will change by 0.5%. To
change the incline quickly, press one of the incline
buttons numbered 0through12. Note: After you
press the incline buttons, it may take a moment for
the treadmill to reach the selected incline setting.
5. Select a display modeand monitor your
progress with thedisplay.
When the manual mode is selected, the console of-
fers three display modes. The display mode that
you select will determine which workout information
is shown. Press the Display button repeatedly to
select the desired display mode.
As you walk or run on the treadmill, the display can
show the following workout information:
The speed of the walking belt.
Your walking or running pace, inminutes per mile
or minutes per kilometer.
The approximate number of calories youhave
burned.
The elapsed time.
The distance that you have walked orrun.
The number of lapsyou have completed.
The incline setting of thetreadmill whenever the
i
ncline setting changes.
Your heart rate. Note: Your heart ratecan be dis-
played onlywhile youuse the handgrip pulse
sensor.

Regardless of which display mode you select, the
speedor incline setting will appear in the display for
a fewseconds each time you change the setting.
You can change the volume level by pressing the
Volume increase and decrease buttons. To mute
the volume,press theVolume decreasebutton until
only one bar appears in the display.
As you exercise, the workout intensity level barwill
indicate the approximate intensity level of your ex-
ercise. Forexample,if fiveof the indicators in the
bararelit, the bar shows that your intensity level is
idealfor aerobic exercise.
To reset the console, press the Stop button, re-
move the key, and then reinsert the key.
