IMPOR TANT! For your convenienc e, the cooking time range in all pro grams
starts with the minimum setting, enabling y ou to prolong the cooking time if
the dish comes out underc ooked.
In “STEAM” , “SOUP” , “PILAF” programs the countdown begins only when the
device reaches its operating temperature. E.g. the c ountdown of the “STEAM”
program begins only when the water comes to a full boil, providing enough
steam.
Preset Function
Preset function allows setting the program to be nished by certain time. Set-
ting the time of a delay , take the cooking time of the program into consideration.
Time settings range from 1 to 24 hours with 10 minute intervals.
1 . Press “MENU” button to select the cooking program.
2 . Press “TIMER” button to set the time of a delay . “Timer” indicator lights up
and the timer starts blinking.
3 . Use “HOUR” button to set the hours in 24-hour format and “MIN” butt on
to set the minutes. T o scroll through the digits press and hold the corre-
sponding button down.

When the time of a delay is set, press “Start” button. C orresponding indica-
tor lights up and the countdown be gins. The dish will be ready when the
time set expires.
If the time of a delay is less or equal to the cooking time of the program, the
cooking proc ess will begin right after you press “STAR T” .
Preset function is available in all cooking programs e xcept “FRY” .
It is not recommended to set Preset function if various dairy and perishable
products are being used (eggs, fresh milk, meat, cheese, etc.).
Setting the Preset function remember that the countdown in “STEAM” , “SOUP”
and ”BOIL ” programs begins only after the device reaches its operating tem-
perature.
K eep Warm Function
Ke ep Warm function is being activated automatically at the end of the cooking
program. It allows maintaining the temperature of 70–75°C for a period of time
up to 24 hours. “REHEAT/C ANCEL ” button indicator lights up and Ke ep Warm
count up is displayed. Press “REHEA T/CANCEL ” butt on to disable the function
(corresponding indicators go o ff ).
Disabling the Ke ep Warm in advance
Automatic activation of the K eep W arm function at the end of the program may
sometimes be undesirable. REDMOND RMC -M4500E allows disabling the func-
tion in advance. T o do so, press “ST AR T” button right after the program starts
running or at any point of its operation, K eep W arm function indicator goes off.
T o reactivate the function, repress the “ST ART” button, “Keep Warm” indicator
lights up.
R eheat Function
Multicooker REDMOND RMC -M4500E may be used to reheat the cold meal.
1 . Fill the bowl with ingredients and place it inside the de vice.
2 . Close the lid until it clicks into place and plug in the unit.

Press “REHEA T/CANCEL ” . Butt on indicator lights up and the Reheat function

I . PRIOR T O FIRST USE
Carefully unpack the device, remove all packaging materials and stick ers except
the one with the unit’ s serial number.
The absence of the serial number will deprive you of your warranty benets.
Wipe all interior and exterior surfac es of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Wash
the bowl with warm soapy water . Rinse and dry thoroughly . Odor on rst use of
the appliance is normal. In such case, clean the device.
CAUTION! Do not use the applianc e in case of any malfunctions.
II . OPER A TION
Before Use
Place the device on a at, stable, and hard surface away from any objects or
cabinets that could be damaged by steam, humidity, or high temperatures.
Before operating, make sure that the outer and inner parts of the multicooker
have no dents, cracks or any other visible damages. There should not be any
obstructions between the heating element and the bowl.
Setting the C ooking Time
Multicooker REDMOND RMC -M4500E allows manually adjusting the cooking
time, set by default for each program. Setting interval and range of c ooking
time settings depend on the program of cooking chosen.

Select the cooking program. P ress “HOUR” button repeatedly to adjust the
hours. Press “MIN” button repeatedly to adjust the minut es. T o scroll through

The meal will be warmed up to 70–75°C and the t emperature will be
maintained for the next 24 hours.

The function may operate for a period of 24 hours, howev er , we recom mend
using it moderately , because a prolonged thermal exposure may affect av or
characteristics or dry out the meal.
Standard Operating P rocedure for Automatic Programs
1 . Measure the ingredients according t o the recipe and put them into the
bowl. Make sure that all the ingredients including liquid are below the
scale mark indicating maximum capacity .
2 . Place the bowl inside the de vice. The bowl and the heating element must
t tightly .
3 . Close the lid until it clicks into place. Plug in the unit.
4 . Select the desired cooking program by pressing the “MENU” butt on (cor-
responding indicator lights up and default time for the program is dis-
played).
5 . Use “HOUR” and “MIN” buttons to adjust the time set by default for each
program.
6 . Set Preset function if needed.
7. Press “ST ART” . “ST AR T” butt on and “K eep W arm” indicators light up . The
program starts running and its countdown is being displayed. Repress
“ST ART” button to disable the K eep W arm function (“Keep W arm” indicator
goes off).
8 . When cooking time expires the de vice makes an audible sound. Depend-
ing on your settings the devic e either automatically enters the K eep W arm
(“REHEA T/CANCEL ” button indicator lights up, c ount up is displayed), or
the standby mode.
9 .
T o interrupt or t o cancel the program or to disable the K eep Warm function
press “REHEA T/CANCEL ” .
“RICE/GRAIN” Program
This program is recommended for c ooking various grains and other side dishes.
Default time is 30 minutes. Manual time settings range from 5 minutes to 1
hour and 30 minutes with 1 minute intervals.
“PILAF“ Program
This program is recommended for c ooking various types of rice dishes. Default
time is 60 minutes. Manual time settings range from 5 minutes to 2 hours with
5 minute intervals.
“STEAM“ P rogram
This program is recommended for steaming or boiling vegetables, sh, meat
and baby f ood. Default time is 30 minut es. Manual time settings range from 10
minutes to 2 hours with 5 minute intervals. C ount down of the program begins
only when the water c omes to a full boil.
Use the steaming container provided t o steam:
1 . Pour 600–1000 ml of water into the bo wl. Plac e the steaming con tainer in.
2 . Measure the ingredients following the recipe provided and put them int o
the container . Install the steaming container inside the bowl. Make sure
that the bowl and the heating element t tightly .
3 . Follow rec ommendations given in the “Standard operating procedure for
automatic programs” .
If y ou choose to adjust the time of the program set by default, follow rec om-
mendations given in the T able of Rec ommended Steaming Time for Various
Products (p. 10).
“SOUP“ Program
This program is recommended for c ooking various soups, broths, st ews and
drinks. Default time is 60 minutes. Manual time settings range from 20 minutes
to 8 hours with 5 minute intervals. The c ountdown of the program begins only
when the device reaches its operating t emperature.
