The emission values speci ed (vibration,
noise) were measured in accordance with
the test conditions stipulated in EN 60 745
and are intended for machine comparisons.
They are also used for making preliminary
estimates regarding vibration and noise
loads during operation.
The emission values speci ed refer to the
main applications for which the power tool
is used. If the electric power tool is used for
other applications, with other tools or is not
maintained suf ciently prior to operation,
however, the vibration and noise load may
be higher when the tool is used.
Take into account any machine idling times
and downtimes to estimate these values
more accurately for a speci ed time period.
This may signi cantly reduce the load dur-
ing the machine operating period.
6 Installation of
protective elements
WARNING
Before performing any maintenance
work on the tool, always remove the
plug from the electrical mains socket.
WARNING
The grinder may only be used with
the protective cover in place and the
auxiliary handle af xed.
6.1 Cover
Loosen the clamping lever [2-5].
Fit the cover [2-1] onto the spindle collar
[2-4]. The guiding pad [2-6] must t into
the groove on the spindle collar.
Put the cover [2-1] into a suitable operating
position and rmly tighten the collar with
the clamping lever [2-5].
Due to the safety reasons, it is necessary to
tighten the ensioning nut [2-7] by means
of torque moment 3 + 0.5 Nm.
Protective cover for cutting
For cutting metal, always work with the pro-
tective cover for cutting [2-2].
The protective cover for cutting [2-2] is
mounted in the same manner as the pro-
tective cover [2-1].
Suction cover
Loosen bolt [2-8].
Place the suction cover [2-3] on the spin-
dle collar [2-4]. The guide pad [2-6] must
be inserted into the groove on the spindle
collar.
Turn the grinder to an appropriate work
position and rmly tighten the collar using
the bolt. For this use a 6-sided wrench.
A suf ciently wide travel of the cover pre-
vents deviation of the angle grinder from
the level of the cut.
Carefully read the user’s manual for the use
of the suction cover.
6.2 Auxiliary handle
Special construction “VIBRASTOP” regulates
the vibrations with auxiliary handle [1-9].
Auxiliary handle can be screwed from the
left or right side of gearbox [1-7]. Some
operations may require the handle screwed
to the top of gearbox.
6.3 Rotating handle
By turning the main handle by 90° to the
left or right you achieve better handling of
the tool.
Press the handle arrest button [1-3] and turn
the holder to the working position, where the
arrest button must again lock in.
WARNING
The grinder must not be used in the
when the rotating handle is the ar-
rested position.
