Checking the engine oil

The plate compactor must be standing on a

level surface.

Unscrewthedipstick(14),removeandwipe.

Re-insertitwithouttightening.

Takeitoutandreadotheoillevel,which

shouldbebetweenthemarkingsonthe

dipstick.

Ifnecessary,topupwithfreshoilandtighten

the dipstick.

Changing the engine oil

Itiseasiertodrainotheoilwhileitiswarm,

as it is thinner.

Place a suitable collection vessel next to the

plate compactor.

Unscrewthedipstick.Unscrewthedrain

screw(20)andallowtheoiltorunintothe

collection vessel.

Retightenthedrainscrewoncealltheoilhas

run out.

Rellwith0.5-0.6litresoffreshSAE10W-

30engineoilthroughtheconnectorwith

the dipstick and check that the oil level is

betweenthemarkingsonthedipstick.

Cleaning the air lter

Cleantheairlterbyslackeningthewingnut

on top of the air lter cover (3), remove the

cover and clean the foam lter element and

thepaperlterelementwithcompressedair

or a brush.

If the lter elements cannot be cleaned

properly, replace them.
