perfect child carrying solution that’s suitable for a wide range of adult
bicycles.
Our ergonomic child seats are all built with safety and comfort as the
primary goals.
In this manual, you will find information on attaching the child bicycle seat
to the frame of your bicycle.
Carefully read the manual for a safe and correct installation of the child
bicycle seat.
REAR CHILD-SEAT FOR BICYCLE
FRAME MOUNTING SYSTEM
EN
This child bicycle seat must not be mounted to bicycles fitted with rear
shock absorbers.
This child bicycle seat must not be mounted to a racing bicycle with
drop handlebar.
This child bicycle seat must not be mounted to Motorized Vehicles such
as Mopeds and Scooters.
This child bicycle seat must not be mounted in bicycles with triangular,
square or carbon fiber frames.
This child bicycle seat must be assembled on bicycles with round and
oval frames with diameters ranging from Ø28 to Ø40 mm.
The child bicycle seat must be assembled on bicycles with wheels with
diameters of 26” and 28”.
This child bicycle seat is only suitable for carrying children with a
maximum weight of 22 Kg (and children with recommended ages ranging
from 9 months to 5 years of age - with the weight as the decisive variable).
The total weight of the cyclist and the child transported must not exceed
the maximum permitted load permitted for the bicycle. Information on
the maximum load can be found in the operating instructions of the
bicycle. You can also contact the manufacturer for this question.
The seat may only be mounted on a bicycle suitable for the attachment
of such additional loads.
The position of the child bicycle seat must be adjusted so that the bicycle
rider does not touch the child bicycle seat with the feet when in motion.
• It’s very important to adjust correctly the seat and its component parts
for optimum comfort and safety of the child. It’s also important that the
seat does not slope forward, so that the child does not tend to slide out of
it. It’s also important that the backrest slope backward slightly.
• Check if all parts of the bicycle function correctly with the child bicycle
seat mounted.
Check the instructions of the bicycle, and If you have any doubts
on fitting the child bicycle seat to your bicycle, please contact your
bicycle supplier for further information.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
1. Turn the child seat upside down as shown in the image. Remove the
metallic bracket (H) from the seat by cutting the straps.
2. Unscrew the hand knob (J2) and simultaneously lift the red security
ring (J3).
3. To remove the mounting block, press the block button (I3) and remove
it according to the direction indicated in the picture.
4. Hold the metallic bracket (H) the same as in the picture and pass it
through the opening in the child bicycle seat.
5. In order to adjust the child bicycle seat according to the bicycle size, set
the metallic bracket (H) into one of the three allowed positions to move
the seat backward or forward. At the beggining we suggest to place it on
the position No. 3.
6. Insert the metallic mounting plate (J1) on the grooves of the child
bicycle seat, and close it as indicated in the picture.
7. Close the metallic mounting plate (J1); make sure it holds the metallic
bracket (H) and fasten the hand knob (J2). As soon as the hand knob is
well tightened, make sure the security lever is properly held as shown in
the picture. This step is extremly important for the child and cyclist safety.
8. Remove the screws (I1) on the mounting block (I), with the Allen key
no. 5 (I5).
9. Before placing the block onto the frame, make sure that the protective
rubber (I7) is correctly positioned on front of the block.
10. Place the main body of the mounting block (I2) on the front of the
bicycle frame, and then place the metallic mounting plate (I4).
Note: If they are cables in this area make sure that they are correctly
positioned in the central groove of the metallic plate, (between the
protective rubber (I7) and the groove of the mounting plate (I4) and are
able to move freely).
11. Place the washer (I6) in the M6 screws (I1), and then screw them
on to the mounting block (I). Tighten the screws, with the Key (I5), so
that the mounting block (I) is secured but not fully tightened so that, if
necessary, you can adjust the height later. However, note that it should
be tight to make it easier to complete the next step. You need to tighten
the 4 screws diagonally and in stages. Check the safety of the fasteners
regularly.
12. Place the edges of the metallic bracket (H) at the holes of the metallic
bracket (I) until you hear a click indicating the lock, and until the center
button (I3) shall be level with the exterior of the hose metallic bracket.
13. Centre and adjust the metallic bracket (H) at a height above the
rear wheel, so that later, when you add the weight of the child, the
child bicycle seat does not touch the wheel. Note that the metallic
bracket (H) should be positioned at a maximum of 10 cm away from
the wheel. The child seat has a center of gravity (F) (engraved on the
child seat) that must be positioned in front of the rear wheel axle. If it
is positioned behind the axle, the distance must not exceed 10 cm.
If the center of gravity is at a upper distance from the axle, adjust the
metal bracket to one of the available positions. Special care must also be
taken when positioning the child seat to ensure that the cyclist does not
touch the child seat with his feet when cycling.
Note: In Germany, according to the German Traffic Law StVZO, bicycle
seats may only be fixed so that 2/3 of the seat depth or the Gravity Center
of the seat is located between the front and rear axle of the bicycle.
14. After adjusting the height and positioning of the seat, hand tighten
the mounting block (I) to ensure that it cannot move. This tightening must
be manual and is extremely important for the safety of the child. Make
sure that the mounting block (I) is firmly attached. You need to hand tight
the 4 screws diagonally, with the same force and in stages (I5).
15. Pass the safety belt (C) around the bicycle frame. Adjust it as shown
in the picture, under tension. Make sure that remain loosen belt is not in
contact with the wheel. This step is extremely important for the child’s
safety.
16. To place the child in the seat, first fully extend the belt straps (B),
sliding the adjusters (B2). This makes it easier to put the child in the seat.
