PLAYBACK
Playback
of both
sides
of a
cassette
1.
Ensure
that the
cassette
deck has been con-
nected
as described under
'CONNECTIONS'
and
that the mains voltage has been switched
on with the power
'ON/OFF'
switch Q. The
'BEVERSE
MODE HB' indicator will now in-
dicate
the direction of tape travel and the
'REVERSE
MODE'
indicator indicates the mode
of
Fig.
7b.
2.
Open the
cassette
holder @ by pressing
'EJECT'
button
(2).
3.
Place
a recorded
cassette
in the
cassette
holder, with the open side down, and close the
cassette
holder.
4. If required switch on the
DOLBY
NR system
(and
select Dolby B or G).
5. Set the amplifier to
'CASS',
'TAPE',
'TAPE
1' or
'TAPE
2', depending on the amplifier input
being
used.
6.
Press
the
'PLAY
>'
button
@. The indicator of
that
'PLAY'
button
will now
light
up. The
'REVERSE
MODE HB' indicator will
also
in-
dicate
the direction of tape travel.
7. The volume and balance is adjusted on your
amplifier. When using headphones, connected
to the
'PHONES'
socket @, the volume is not
adjustable.
8. For short interruptions,
press
the
'PAUSE'
button
@. The
'PAUSE'
indicator will now
flash.
To
continue playback,
press
the
'PAUSE'
button
@ again.
9. When pressing the
'PLAY'
button
@ during
playback,
the indicator will start blinking and the
selection
which is played will then be repeted.
When
pressing the
'PLAY'
button
0 again, the
cassette
deck will resumé normal playback.
10.
Press
'STOP'
button
@ to stop playback.
Playback

cassette
1.
Check
that the
cassette
deck is connected as
descnbed
under
'CONNECTIONS'
and that the
mains
voltage has been switched on by means
of the mains switch
'ON/OFF'

COUNTER
MEMORY
When
pressing
'COUNTER
MEMORY'
button
®,
the present counter reading will be stored in the
memory. When winding/rewinding, the tape will
stop at the stored counter reading. The memory
function can be used to find quickly the beginning
point of a recording. Only the last entered counter
reading will be stored in the memory, i.e. when
pressing
'COUNTER
MEMORY'
button
® once
more,
the previous counter reading will be
erased
from the memory.
BLANK
SKIP
FUNCTION
Press
the
'BLANK
SKIP'
button
@i if you wish to
skip
the blank parts of a
cassette.
When pressing
the
'BLANK
SKIP'
button
the indicator will
light
up
and
the
cassette
deck will then skip all blank parts
of more than 10
seconds.
Press
the
'BLANK
SKIP'
button
(g) again to switch
off the blank skip function.
INDEX
SCAN
SYSTEM
When
the
cassette
deck is in the
PLAY,
PAUSE,
or
STOP
mode, the
INDEX
SCAN
system can be
activated
by pressing the
'INDEX
SCAN'
button
@.
With the
INDEX
SCAN
SYSTEM
activated, you will
hear
the first 10 seconds of
each
recording.
If you wish to hear the entire part, when listening to
the 10 seconds fragment, then
press
the
'PLAY'
button
@ near the flashing indicator. The
cassette
deck
will then return to the normal play mode.
