PPP (Point-to-point Protocol)

Een veelgebruikt netwerkprotocol waarmee computers met een modem en

een telefoonlijn rechtstreeks verbinding met het Internet kunnen maken.

Protocol

Een set formele regels die bepaalt hoe gegevens worden overgedragen

tussen twee apparaten.

Proxy

In sommige netwerken wordt de verbinding tussen het WWW en de site

waar u naartoe wilt geblokkeerd door een firewall. De firewall beschermt het

netwerk tegen ongeautoriseerde toegang van buitenstaanders. Een proxy is

een programma dat toegang via de firewall mogelijk maakt. Een proxy kan

ook worden gebruikt om het downloadproces te versnellen. In dat geval

fungeert de proxy als netwerkcache.

PUK-code (PIN Unblocking Key)

De PUK-code is een 8-cijferige code die met de SIM-kaart wordt

meegeleverd. U hebt de code nodig als u een uitgeschakelde PIN-code wilt

wijzigen. Als u tien keer achterelkaar een onjuiste PUK-code invoert, wordt

de SIM-kaart geblokkeerd en kunt u geen oproepen ontvangen of maken,

met uitzondering van alarmnummers. Wanneer de SIM-kaart is geweigerd,

hebt u een nieuwe SIM-kaart nodig. U kunt de PUK-code niet wijzigen. Als

u de code niet meer weet, neemt u contact op met de netwerkexploitant.

PUK2-code

Sommige SIM-kaarten hebben ook een PUK2-code. Met deze code kunt u

een uitgeschakelde PIN2-code wijzigen. Als u tien keer achterelkaar een

onjuiste PUK2-code invoert, kunt u de functies die de PIN2-code vereisen
