INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
10 32401106(1)2004-04 A
CATEGORIES OF USE
Use in compliance with the standards.
Check which category your machine is suited for (see
identification plate).
The machine must not be used for several categories at
the same time, unless suitable accessories are used, such
as liquid kit if the machine is to be used for liquids.
Dust Class “L”
(Light hazard – defined by EN 60335-2-69).
This industrial vacuum is approved according to EN
60335-2-69 for category of use “L” and is fit to suck dry,
non flammable and non-toxic dust with MAK>1mg/m
3
values; the clean air is conveyed back into the place of
work.
Dust class “M”
(Medium hazard – defined by EN 60335-2-69).
Suitable for removing hazardous, dry, not inflammable
dusts whose MAK limiting value is greater than 0.1 mg/m
3
.
Dust class “H”
(High hazard – defined by EN 60335-2-69).
Suitable for removing hazardous, dry, not inflammable
dusts with all MAK limiting values as well as dry, not
inflammable dusts of carcinogenic substances. The
cleaned air is fed back to the workplace atmosphere.
Category of use ATEX
Industrial vacuum cleaners with the additional ATEX
machine type are tested and approved for the removal of
settled inflammable dusts.
Dusts with an extremely low minimal ignition energy (< 1
mJ) like toners, sulphur, aluminium powder or lead
stearate are excluded. In this case, operation requires a
special security consideration.
This vacuum must only be used to clean surfaces. It must
not be used to suction clean moving machines or powders
classified as liable to explode according to explosion
category G, in class ST3, nor inflammable liquids and
inflammable powders mixed with inflammable liquids.
EMPTYING THE CONTAINER
(VERSION H-)
Before emptying, switch off the motor. Shake the filter a
number of times and give the dust time to settle.
Release the container using the lever.
Switch the motor back on and follow these steps:
remove the container from below the machine;
close the container “1” lid;
remove the sealed container “2”;
insert a new empty container into the dust container
and refit it into the vacuum cleaner.
Carefully check that the waste container (when mounted)
is perfectly tight with the filtering chamber. The elimination
of the container containing toxic substances must be done
following the existing rules.
Using a Dust Safe Bag system, Dust class H.
Fitting the Dust safe Bag
Place the special dust bag flat in the bin with its opening
pointing towards the bin inlet.
Now slide the opening in the special dust bag on to the bin
inlet as far as it will go – without any turning.
Then fold the plastic bag down over the bin rim.
Now pull the part of the plastic bag overlapping the bin rim
tight against the flange (before re-attaching the top and
bottom sections of the vacuum cleaner).
Once the dust bag is full
Leave the hose connected or close to the lid!
After opening the appliance detach the plastic bag lying
across the bin rim carefully, close and seal it.
Detach the back of the connecting flange by briefly
pressing firmly downwards at an angle, while holding the
front firmly on the connection piece.
The plastic-hose joint is now visible and can be tied off
securely with the cable tie simply by pulling it together.
Having thus ensured that no dust can escape, now also
detach the front part of the flange from the connection
piece.
Using a Dust Bag system (plastic bag insert) (Fig. 9)
Having opened the system, remove the plastic bag’s edge
carefully from the container’s rim that it is covering. Close
the bag’s opening and take it out of the container.
Put a new bag into the container. Take care that it fits the
bottom and the walls. Pull the bag’s edge over the
container’s rim and smooth it down.
Dust - Class “L”
Machines of this category of application can be used
without a dust bag. In this case please make sure that the
removal of the dust takes place in a special area and use
a respiratory protection mask.
