Safety precautions
Read these instructions carefully before using
your new coee machine for the first time. Im-
proper use of the machine releases Nespresso
from any liability.
Caution – W hen you see this sign, please refer
to the safety precautions to avoid possible harm
and dam age.
Inform ation – W hen you see this sign, please
take note of the advice for the correct and safe usa-
ge of your coee m achine.
1 In case of an em ergency: im m ediately rem ove the
plug from the power socket.
2 Only plug the appliance into suitable and easily
accessible, earthed m ains connections.
3 The use of incorrect connection voids the war-
ranty.
4 Children should never use the appliance w ithout
close adult supervision.
5 This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) w ith reduced physical, sen-
sory or m ental capabilities or lack of experience
and know ledge unless they have been given ini-
tial supervision or instruction concerning the use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
6 Check that the voltage quoted on the rating plate
is the sam e as your m ains voltage.
7 Use only the specific pow er cord delivered with the
m achine, m ount it in the bottom of the m achine as
m entioned in the user m anual.
8 Your m achine is m ade for indoor use only.
9 Do not put the fingers under the coee or hot wa-
ter outlets, risk of scalding.
10 Always fill the w ater tank w ith potable water.
11 Em pty w ater tank if coee m achine will not be
used for an extended tim e (holidays etc.).
12 Replace w ater in w ater tank before coee m a-
chine is put into operation after a w eekend or a
sim ilar period of tim e.
13 Alw ays close the lever com pletely and never lift
it during operation. Scalding m ay occur. Do not
put fingers into the capsule insertion slot or the
capsule ejection. Danger of injury!
14 If a capsule is blocked into the capsule com part-
m ent, turn the m achine o and unplug it before
any operation. Call Nespresso Business Solutions.
15 To avoid hazardous dam age, never place the ap-
pliance on or beside hot surfaces such as heating
plate, radiators, stoves, ovens, gas burners, open
flam es, or sim ilar. Always place it on a flat, stable
and even surface, away from water splashes. The
surface m ust be resistant to heat and fluids, like
water, coee, descaler, or sim ilar.
16 Place this product 20cm from the body of the user
or nearby person.
17 Rem ove the plug from the m ains socket if you w ill
not be using the m achine for an extended tim e
(holidays). Before cleaning and servicing, rem ove
the plug from the m ains socket and let the m a-
chine cool down. Do not unplug by pulling the
power cord.
18 Do not use the m achine if it is not operating per-
fectly or if it show s any sign of dam age. In case
of any m alfunction or dam age, call your nearest
Nespresso Business Solutions.
19 All operations other than norm al use, cleaning,
and servicing m ust be perform ed by the Nespresso
authorized after-sales centre.
The warranty does not apply to any defect result-
ing from accident, negligence, m isuse, failure to
follow the product instructions, calcium deposits,
im proper or inadequate m aintenance, norm al
w ear and tear, use on current or voltage other
than as m arked on the product, product altera-
tion, fire, lightening, flood or external causes.
20 Never im m erse the m achine, power cord or plug
in water or any other liquid.
21 Keep the power cord out of reach of children.
22 Never leave the power cord near or in contact
w ith hot parts of the m achine, a source of heat,
or a sharp edge.
23 W hen the power cord or plug is dam aged, you
m ust not use the m achine. In order to avoid dan-
ger, call your Nespresso Business Solutions to have
the defective part repaired or replaced.
24 For your ow n safety, you should use only parts
and accessories from Nespresso that are m ade for
your m achine.
25 Never use the m achine without the drip tray or
the drip grid.
26 All Nespresso m achines m ust pass stringent con-
trols. Reliability tests under practical conditions are
perform ed random ly on selected units. This can
show traces of any previous use.
27 The m anufacturer cannot be held liable for any
dam age caused by not intended use or inappro-
priate handling of the m achine.

Nespresso as it is specifically adapted to your m a-
chine. Do not use other products (such as vinegar)

tive.
