Adjusting the steering wheel.
Release the lever, and make sure
that the steering wheel engages
correctly.
Setting the cutting mechanism
wheels (according to the
model)
Fig. 14
The cutting mechanism wheels
should be in the respective cutting
mechanism setting, always between
6–12 mm above the ground.
The cutter wheels are not designed
to bear the loads generated by the
cutters and may have to be offset
accordingly.
Setting the rear rollers
(if fitted)
Depending on the model, the rear
rollers can be attached in two
positions.
Fig. 15
“High” position (upper hole):
Standard position – the grass is
not rolled or only minimally.
“Low” position (lower hole):
Roll position – the grass is also
rolled after cutting.
Remove safety split pin (1) from
the left side.
Pull out axle (2) to the right.
Insert axle into the required hole
(High/Low). When inserting the
rollers (3) and the spacer (4),
push back onto the axle.
Align axle (2) with the groove and
push through the left holder.
Re-insert safety split pin (1).
Note
Always fit rear roller on both sides
in the same position (High/Low).
Starting the engine
Take your place on the driver seat.
Depress the brake pedal fully or
engage the parking brake.
Switch off the engage switch
(PTO).
Raise the cutters to the top.
Set the throttle lever into
position .
To cold-start the engine, pull the
choke or move the accelerator
lever to .
Turn the ignition key to until the
engine is running (attempt to start
the engine for max. 5 seconds,
wait 10 seconds before attempting
to start the engine again).
When the engine is running, set
the ignition key to /I/ .
Slowly push back the choke.
Return the accelerator lever until
the engine runs smoothly.
Stopping the engine
Move the throttle to the middle

Note
Be especially cautious when
reversing. Never change direction
without first stopping the appliance.
Note concerning steering
The steering affects not only the
angle of the rear wheels, but also the
drive of the front wheels depending
on the angle of the steering wheel.
You can also turn this unit without
a turning radius (“zero turn” around
its own axis), i.e. when the unit is
turned, the front wheels act as
apivot.
A small steering wheel angle up
to approx. 10° affects the rear
wheels only, i.e. you move a
normal turning radius.
A larger steering impact beyond
10° additionally serves to make
the turning radius smaller up to
a “zero-turn”. As the steering
wheel angle increases, the drive
(speed) of the front wheels is
affected, i.e. the inner wheel
rotates slower and the outer
wheel quicker.
Complete steering impact
additionally serves to make
a “zero-turn” (turning on own axle)
possible. The rear wheels are
adjusted as far as possible and
the drive (direction of rotation and
speed) of the front wheels is
affected simultaneously, i.e. the
inner wheel rotates backwards
and the outer wheel forwards at
corresponding speed reduction.
Note
The larger the steering impact is,
the greater the amount of power is
needed to turn. The driving speed is
reduced with increasing steering
impact. As soon as the steering
wheel is in the central setting again
(driving straight on) the tractor will
once again drive again at the speed
previously set.
Please pay attention to the fact that,
according to the model, tight turning
radii or “zero-turns” can lead,
if applicable, to damage to the
topsoil.
