18.1 Recording capacity
The tables below list the maximum recording times
depending on the video system selected, the resolu-
tion selected, the storage capacity of the integrated
hard disks, the picture rate and quality selected.
They are based on permanent video recording with-
out audio recording.
The values in the tables are based on tests and
are guideline values. The actual recording capacity
may vary since the compression rate of the data will
depend, among other things, on the image contents
of the video signals.
When recording the audio signals, e. g. for 8
channels, an additional storage capacity of approx.
8 Kbps (corresponding to 0.7 GB per day) will be
required.
