5.10 Storage options
Offering a significant advantage over analog mixers, digital mixers
allow the user to store settings as presets� In the DMIX-20, the settings
can be stored in four categories:
DSP Channel, 48 storage locations
Sound adjustment of the channel with the parametric equalizer
(
chapter 5�5�1), dynamic-range processing (
chapter 5�4),
signal inversion (
chapter 5�1�3), signal delay (
chapter 5�1�4)
GEQ, 48 storage locations
Settings of a graphic equalizer (
chapter 5�5�2)
DFX, 104 storage locations
Effect type and parameters of an effect processor (
chapter 5�7�3)
Scene, 24 storage locations
All settings of the mixer
5.10.1 Storing settings
1) Make all the settings to be stored�
2)
Call up a screen view that includes the button “Save”, such as
the view “Assign”, “Channel” or “System” or a view for sound
adjustment or dynamic-range processing�
3) Tap the button “Save”� The view “Save Preset” (fig� 29) will be
displayed�

4) Tap the appropriate button on the right side of the screen view to
select the category desired�

Use the keys and (18) or tap the appropriate list item to select
the storage location desired� Unused storage locations are indicated
by “----- Empty -----“�
To go to other pages of the storage list, use the keys
and
(18)
or the buttons “Up Page” and “Down Page”�
6) Tap the input field located beneath “Preset Name”� A keyboard
will be displayed (fig� 30)�

7) Enter the preset name desired for the setting (16 characters max�)�
Use the button “abc�” to go to lower-case letters, “ABC�” to go
to upper-case letters, and “�?123” to go to special characters and
numerals�
To delete the character most recently entered, use the button

To terminate the entry, tap the button “Enter”� To cancel the entry
and to exit the keyboard, use the button

Use the button “Save” (lower right on the screen) to save the
preset�
If the storage location selected is already used, a confirmation
prompt will appear: Tap “Yes” to overwrite the current settings,
or tap “No” to cancel�
5.10.2 Loading settings
1) If not an entire mixer scene is to be loaded, select the target for
the settings to be loaded and the corresponding view�
Examples:
To load the settings for an input channel (preset category “DSP Channel”),
select the input channel and call up the view “Assign”�
To load a stored effect (preset category “DFX”), call up the view of the
desired effect processor with the key FX1/ FX2 (22)�
To load the setting for a graphic equalizer (preset category “GEQ”), call
up the corresponding view with the key GEQ (21) and select the desired
channel (Main, SUB 1– 4, AUX 1– 4)�
To load a preset of the category “Scene”, call up any screen view
which includes the button “Load”, such as the view “Assign”,
“Channel” or “System” or a view for sound adjustment or dy-
namic-range processing�
2) Tap the button “Load”� The view “Load Preset” (fig� 31) will be
displayed�

3) Tap the appropriate button on the right side of the screen view to
select the category desired� The correct field is usually already se-
lected, depending on the view that calls up the view “Load Preset”�

To go to other pages of the storage list, use the keys

or the buttons “Up Page” and “Down Page”�

Tap the button “Load” (lower right on the screen) to load the
preset�
A confirmation prompt will appear: Tap “Yes” to confirm, or tap
“No” to cancel�
The view “System” (fig� 32) provides an overview of the most recently
loaded presets of the categories “Scene” and “DSP Channel” as well
as of the presets for the two effect processors� To call up the view
“System”, press the key SYSTEM (16)�
