6. Connections and Control Elements
5) LOW CUT switch (ME1002 and ME1202)
This switch activates and deactivates the LOW CUT lter of the mono channel. The
LOW CUT lter is active when the switch is pressed. This lter suppresses undesired
low-frequency signals. The frequency range below 75Hz is lowered by –3dB (18dB/oct.,
-3dB at 75 Hz).
6) FX control (ME1002 and ME1202)
The FX control is used to mix a separate output signal at the SEND FX socket. The signal
for the FX control is output downstream (POST fader) of the channel control. Changes at
the channel control will in uence the FX output signal. It is therefore suitable for controlling
an effect device. The processed FX effect signal can be returned through the normal chan-
nel inputs. The FX signal is a mono signal and can be ampli ed up to +15dB.
Please observe that the signal at the SEND FX socket is also in uenced by the FX SENDS
control. See FX SENDS control.
If the FX sum signal is to be returned through a mono or stereo channel, the FX control for the
channel must be at the left stop. If the FX control is not at the left stop, there is a danger of
feedback.
7) PAN control
The PAN control determines distribution of the mono signal to the right and left channel of the STEREO outputs.
In the middle position, the signal is sent to both outputs.
In the “R” position, no signal is put on the left output.
In the “L” position, no signal is put on the right output.
8) Channel control (LEVEL control)
The mono channel level as compared to the overall signal (MAIN OUT) is set with the channel control. The chan-
nel control should always be returned to the “-” position when the channel is not used.
9) CLIP LED
The CLIP LED can be used to visually monitor the input level of the mono channel. To prevent overmodulation
or distortion of the signal, the CLIP LED should not light up. Turn the TRIM control back and check the equalizer
control settings for the channel if required.
