Installing or removing the shear

blades for grass shear

Removing the shear blades

1. Remove the grass receiver and place the tool

upside down.

2. While pressing the lock lever, turn the undercover

counterclockwise until

on the undercover is aligned

with on the lock lever.

1. Preparethecrank,undercover,andnewshear

blades.

2. Removethebladecoverfromtheoldshear

blades,andthenattachittothenewones.

3. Adjustthethreepinssothattheyarelinedupon

the alignment line.

4. Applyasmallamountofgreasetotheperiphery

ofthecrank.Attachthecranktothepinswiththesmall

andlargeroundsfacingup.

5. Adjustthebladesandbaseplatesothatthehole

inthebaseplateandthetwoprotrusionsontheblades

are lined up.

6. Turntheshearbladesupsidedownandinstall

themsothatthepinsonthetooltintheholeonthe

baseplate.Makesurethattheshearbladesarexed

securely in place.

7. Placetheundercoversothat

on the under-

cover is aligned with on the lock lever.

8. While pressing the undercover, turn the under-

cover clockwise until

on the undercover is aligned

with on the lock lever.

9. Makesurethatthelocklevertsinthegrooveon

the undercover.

CAUTION: Never use the tool without install-

ing the undercover.

10. Removethebladecover,andthenturnonthetool

to check that it works properly.

NOTICE: If the shear blades do not operate prop-

erly, the blades are not engaging the crank prop-

erly. Remove the blades and install them again.

CAUTION: Attach the blade cover before

removing or installing the shear blades.

1. Placethetoolupsidedown.

2. While pressing the lock lever, turn the undercover

counterclockwise until

on the undercover is aligned

with on the lock lever.

3. Remove the undercover.

4. Loosen the two screws with a screwdriver and

removetheshearblades.

NOTE:Theshearbladescanberemovedwithout

removing the screws.

5. Removethecrankfromtheshearblades.

themsothatthepinonthetooltsintheholeonthe

shearblades.Inserttheclawofthebaseplateintothe

grooveonthetool.Makesurethattheshearbladesare

xedsecurelyinplace.
