Trouble shooting
After about 50 operating hours the gear box (D/8) should be
checked by a OLMAR service centre, and if necessary re-
grease.
The service centre will add the exact amount of grease, as
excessive grease will lead to overheating of the gearbox.
Lubricating the gear box
The felt lter (E/9) of the suction head is used to lter the fuel
taken in by the carburetor.
A periodical visual inspection of the felt lter should be con-
ducted. For this purpose open the tank cap, and use a wire
hook to pull out the suction head through the tank opening. If
the lter has hardened or is dirty or clogged, replace it.
Insuf cient fuel supply can result in the admissible maximum
speed being exceeded. It is therefore important to replace the
felt lter at least every three months to ensure a good fuel sup-
ply to the carburetor.
Cleaning the muf er opening
Regularly inspect the muf er opening (E/8). When it becomes
clogged with carbon residues, carefully scrape them out with
the suitable tool.
