• Select the single or double mesh L and insert it correctly into the metal funnel M. Make sure the tube on
the funnel aligns with the groove of the mesh.
• Add ground coffee into the steel mesh with the measuring spoon P. Normally a spoon of ground coffee can
make about one cup of coffee. Then press the ground coffee powder tightly with the tamper P.
• Insert the funnel into the device from the “Insert” position and secure the funnel by turning it counterclockwise
until it is at the “Lock” position.
• Pour the hot water from the cup you preheated and place it back on the removable shelf K and make sure it
aligns with the funnel.
• If the coffee start/stop LED indicator is illuminated, press the coffee start/stop button A and the hot espresso
will be flowing out. First a small volume will flow, after ± 3 seconds there will be a continuous flow. During
operation the LED indicator will ash.
• When your cup has been sufciently lled, press the coffee brewing start/stop button A again to stop
the ow.
• After nishing brewing the espresso, you can take the metal funnel M out by turning it clockwise to the “Insert”
position, then pour out the coffee residue.
• Let it cool down completely, then rinse the mesh L under running water.
• If you are not going to continue using the device, remove the plug from the power socket.
Making cappuccino / frothing milk
You can make a cappuccino by topping up a cup of espresso with frothed milk.
Prepare an espresso rst in a large cup, as described in “Making espresso”.
• Make sure the water tank is lled at least above the “MIN” mark and not above the “MAX” mark.
• Make sure the steam control knob D is in the “O” position!
• Press the steam button B
• Once the steam LED indicator stops ashing, you can use the steam function.
• Fill a jug with about 100 ml of milk for each cappuccino to be prepared. It is recommended to use whole milk
at refrigerator temperature (not hot!).
Note! When choosing the size of jug, it is recommended that the diameter is not less than 70 mm (+ or 5mm).
Also bear in mind that the milk will double in volume, so do make sure the jug is sufciently high.
• Turn the steam wand H in the desired position.
• The rst ± 10 seconds the steam wand will dispense water. Therefore, it would be best to place or hold an
empty cup or jar to catch this water.
• Turn the steam control knob D slowly counterclockwise, water and steam will come out of the frothing nozzle
I.
• Once the water is dispensed and steam comes out of the froth nozzle, turn the steam control knob D
clockwise to the “O” position.
• Turn the steam wand H in the desired position and place the froth nozzle I in the jug with milk.
• Turn the steam control knob D slowly counterclockwise, steam will come out of the frothing nozzle I.
Note! Never turn the steam control button rapidly, as the steam will accumulate rapidly in a short period of
time, which could potentially increase the risk of explosion.
• Insert the froth nozzle into the milk by about two centimeters, and froth the milk by moving the jug up and
down in a circular motion.
• When the milk is frothed, turn the steam control knob D clockwise to the “O” position.
• Pour the frothed milk into the prepared cup with espresso to nish the cappuccino. Sweeten to taste and - if
desired - sprinkle the frothed milk with a little cocoa powder.
• Immediately clean the frothing nozzle I with a wet sponge or wet cloth when steam is no longer being
produced.
Caution: Prevent burns. Do not touch the hot parts; these are very hot.
Important notice:
Switching between steam mode & coffee brewing mode:
In case you press the coffee brewing start/stop button A when still in steam mode, both LEDs will ash quickly,
indicating a wrong operation has been selected.
Once you have nished frothing milk, press the steam button B again. The LED of the coffee brewing start/stop
button A will ash quickly, indicating the temperature in the device is too high for making an espresso coffee.
Press the coffee brewing start/stop button A so the device will start owing water. The device will draw water
