Make sure that the filter holder (J) is inserted. Fig. 9. Insert a no. 4 filter paper for up to 10/15 cups and a
no. 6 filter for 12/18 cups. Make sure that the filter is fully open and properly in place in the filter holder.
Fig. 10.
It is preferable to remove the filter holder with the filter before adding the ground coffee. Should some
ground coffee be inadvertently poured into the water tank, refrain from starting the cycle and first clean the
water tank. In fact, the ground coffee could otherwise block the water circuit.
Add 1 KRUPS spoonful (U) of ground coffee per cup. Do not exceed 13 spoonfuls. Fig. 12.
Close the lid (B).
Press the button (K). The indicator light of the (K) button lights up to indicate that the coffee maker
has started the brewing cycle. It produces a beep. Fig. 13.
Once the cycle is done, your appliance produces 3 beeps and the (K)button turns off. Your coffee
maker shuts off automatically 5 minutes after the end of the cycle, i.e. 5 minutes after the tank has
completely emptied.
Remove the thermal jug from the coffee maker to ensure that the coffee is kept warm under ideal conditions.
Use the thermal jug by pressing on the lid lever to let your coffee flow. Fig. 19.
This thermal jug keeps coffee warm for 4 hours.
Please note:
- The quantity of coffee in the thermal jug at the end of the cycle is less than the quantity of water poured into
the water tank, since the ground coffee and the filter absorb approximately 10% of it.
- The water tank is equipped with an overflow opening at the back of the appliance. If you add too much water,
it will come out of this opening.
- To keep coffee warm longer, rinse the thermal jug with hot water prior to use, and then reclose the lid by
turning it clockwise.
- Between each use, use a new filter paper.
At any time during the brewing cycle, you can turn off the coffee maker by simply pressing the button (K).
The light on the button will also turn off. It produces 3 beeps.
Even if the brewing cycle is done, some hot liquid remains in the filter. Wait a few minutes for
the rest of the liquid to flow into the thermal jug before removing the filter.
WARNING:
- To prevent any overflow, the thermal jug must be properly placed on the base of the coffee
maker, otherwise there could be some overflow of hot water or hot coffee.
- The coffee maker becomes very hot during the brewing cycle. Please handle it with care.

H button (M) for the hours and MIN button (N) for the minutes. The time is
displayed. It is automatically confirmed after approximately 5 seconds have elapsed or by pressing on the
PROGRAM button (L).
