Pad Sampler

Playing samples

1. Make sure that the SAMPLER ACTIVE button is lit.

2. Select the sampler bank.

Press the BANK SELECT button to make the BANK

LEDs indicate the bank that you want to select; the

BANK LED blinks. When 1 second has elapsed with the

LED blinking, the switch to that bank is confirmed.

Note: While the BANK LED of the selected bank is still

blinking, the bank switch has not yet been confirmed.

Blinking stops if you select the bank in which you're

currently working.

Note: Data is read when you switch banks. Never remove

the SD card while this is occurring.

3. When you press a lit pad, the sample plays according

to the settings that you specified in “Editing a

sample”.

Note: A pad whose sample is currently playing is lit more

brightly than when it is not playing.

Note: The pad sampler can play back up to four samples

simultaneously.

Hold the pad

If you hold down the SAMPLER HOLD button and press

a pad, it remains in the hold state even if you then release

the pad.

Tip: The same result occurs if you hold down a pad and

press the SAMPLER HOLD button.

Note: If sample playback ends while a pad is still in the

hold state, the hold state is cleared for that pad.

Note: If even one pad is in the hold state, the SAMPLER

HOLD button is lit. In this case, you can once again hold

down the SAMPLER HOLD button and press another

pad to simultaneously put it in the hold state. At this time,

you can press and release the SAMPLER HOLD button

to clear the hold state for all pads.

switch the pad to mute mode

If there is a pad that is playing, you can hold down the

EXIT button ( ) and press the SAMPLER HOLD

button ( ) to switch the pad to mute mode. (At

this time, the SAMPLER HOLD button ( ) LED

blinks.)

In mute mode, pressing a currently-playing pad will mute

(silence) the playback. (The LED of a muted pad blinks.)

When you once again press a blinking pad, mute is

cleared. To clear mute mode, once again hold down the

EXIT button ( ) and press the SAMPLER HOLD

button ( ).

During last night's gig, my Kross 2 started changing "Favorites" - one after the other - switching through the banks and sounds, while I was playing. What could cause that. It didn't do it all the time, just every now and then at random. Submitted on 4-9-2022 at 00:59
