Masa crocante para pizza
1 paquete de levadura
seca
1 taza (235 mL)
de agua tibia
(105°F a 115°F
[40°C a 46°C])
1/2 cucharadita (2 mL)
de sal
2 cucharaditas
(10 mL) de aceite
de oliva
2-1/2 - 3-1/2 tazas
(590-830 mL) de
harina multiusos
1 cucharada (15 mL)
de harina de maíz
Disuelva la levadura en agua tibia en el tazón de
la batidora previamente calentado. Añada la sal,
el aceite de oliva y 2-1/2 tazas (590 mL) de harina.
Conecte el tazón y el gancho para masa a la
batidora. Ponga la batidora en velocidad 2 y bata
durante aproximadamente 1 minuto.
Continúe en velocidad 2, añada la harina
restante, 1/2 taza (120 mL) por vez y mezcle
aproximadamente 1

masa comience a limpiar los laterales del tazón.
Amase en velocidad 2 aproximadamente
2 minutos más.
Coloque la masa en un tazón engrasado
moviéndola para engrasar la parte de arriba.
Tape el tazón. Deje levar en un lugar cálido,
sin corrientes de aire, aproximadamente 1 hora
o hasta que se duplique en volumen. Aplaste
la masa.
Aplique aceite en un molde para pizza de
14 pulgadas (35 cm) con un pincel. Salpique un
poco de harina de maíz. Presione la masa hacia el
fondo del molde formando un aro alrededor del
borde para sostener los ingredientes en la parte
superior. Añada ingredientes en la parte superior
si lo desea. Hornee a 450°F (230°C) durante 15 ó
20 minutos.
Rinde: 4 porciones (1/4 pizza por porción).

11 g de proteínas, 74 g de carbohidratos,
3 g de grasa, 0 mg de colesterol, 271 mg
de sodio.
