UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp
plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour
coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&
yellow).
INITIAL OPERATION
When you use your appliance for the first time, pour fresh water into the water tank
(without coffee) and switch on the appliance.
Once all the water has passed through, switch the appliance off and let it cool down.
When it is cold enough repeat the process with fresh water.
SETTING THE CLOCK
Connect the plug to an outlet. The time "0:00" will flash on the display of the electronic
digital clock.
To set the clock, press the button “HOUR” approx. 3 seconds, "1:00" appears on the
display.
Release the button “HOUR” and press it again until the desired time is indicated.
Proceed in the same way first press the button “HOUR” to program the hours. Then press
the button “MIN” to program the minutes.
If you did not push any button for 5 seconds the dots between the hours and minutes will
flash. This indicates that the clock is set. If you have not set the right time, repeat the
operation described here above.
MANUAL OPERATION
Fill the water tank with cold water by lifting the lid. The number of cups can be read on the
graduated water tank.
Swing the filter holder and insert a filter in it.
Add the desired quantity of ground coffee. Replace the filter holder, making sure it is
placed correctly.
Close the lid of the water tank and press the “ON/OFF” button.
The pilot light lights up red to indicate that the coffeemaker is in operation.
In order to switch off the coffeemaker press the “ON/OFF” button (the pilot light will turn
off)..
To brew new coffee turn off the unit for 10 minutes, clean the carafe and the filter holder
and restart the process.
Your appliance has a hotplate that allows keeping the coffee hot for maximum 2 hours.
After 2 hours your appliance switches off automatically (the red pilot light switches off
too). This is a safety device in order to avoid that your appliance works too long, which
can damage it.
Attention: when you switch your coffee maker out, the hot plate will also cut out, but it will
still stay hot for a short while. So pay attention wait until the hot plate has completely
cooled down before cleaning or storing the appliance.
