IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

 Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

 Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the

appliance.

 Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use in presence of children or

incompetent persons.

 From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or

appliance shows any signs of damage.

 Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these

instructions.

 Connect the appliance only to a wall-earthed socket.

 Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.

Never place it into the dishwasher.

 Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

 Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified

electrician(*).

 Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply especially when you

use liquids.

 All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*).

 Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

 Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute

a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

 Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in

any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

 Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

 Only use fresh (potable) and cold (moderate) water. Do not use water contained in

bathtubs, washbasins or other recipients.

 Do not use your appliance if the carafe is cracked or broken. Use only the carafe

delivered with your appliance. Attention, your carafe becomes hot during the use. Take it

only by the handle.

 Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning, storing or filling it. The

appliance has to be switched off before filling it with water.

 Make sure never to overfill the maximum level indicated on the water tank.

 Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

 Never touch the hot parts of the appliance (be careful, also the warming plate (2) is a hot

part!), only touch the plastic parts and take the jug by the handle.

 Be careful not to get burned by the steam evaporating from the coffee filter.

 When removing lime scale, only use vinegar or a special product for the removal of lime

scale. Never use ammonia or any other substance that might damage your health.

 Only put ground coffee in the filter.

 Never use your coffee machine without water in it. If you have a programmable coffee

machine, make sure to fill it with water before programming it.

 Important: your carafe can‟t be placed in a microwave oven in any case to reheat

coffee. We won‟t be responsible for the damages caused by the non-respect of this

safeguard.

(*) Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any

person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to

avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.
