3 Preliminary steps

Make sure that your Pedelec is ready for

use and is set up for your body size.

Check the following:

•Saddle and handlebars should be posi-

tioned correctly and fastened securely

•Brakes should be working correctly and

installed securely

•Wheels should be attached securely to

ame and fork

•Lights should be working correctly and

installed securely

•Battery should be installed securely

Charging the battery:

You can charge the battery whilst it is on

the Pedelec.

›1. Charge the battery completely before

riding for the rst time.

Charge temperature: 0-45°C

›2. Swivel the round charging socket

cover on the battery to one side.

› Now insert the four-pole plug of the

charger into the battery charging

socket.

›3. Insert the mains plug for the charger

into the socket.

2.2 Pushing assistance

Button for pushing assistance

Your Pedelec is available in a version with

or without pushing assistance. The push-

ing assistance moves the Pedelec slowly

(at a maximum speed of 6 km/h) without

you having to turn the pedals, e.g. if you

are manoeuvring in a tight space or are

pushing your Pedelec out of a basement

garage. In Germany, if you were born

aer 01. 04. 1965, you will need a moped

test certicate for models with pushing

assistance. If you already have another

type of driving licence, this automatically

includes the moped test certicate. The

pushing assistance is not suitable for use

as starting assistance. You do not legally

have to have insurance.

•No age restriction applies for a Pedelec.

•The regulations governing the use of

cycle paths are the same as for normal

bikes.

•The motor must switch o once the bike

reaches a speed of 25km/h.

These regulations apply to you wherever

you are in the European Union. It is pos-

sible that dierent regulations exist in

other countries, also inside the EU in

My motor stops working more adn more frequently. I have to turn the battery on and off again to fix for a few days or seconds. I have made sure the magnet is correctly placed.
