CORRECTIVE ACTION
Re-perform the clock and/or timer

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The clock and/or the timer have
been set incorrectly.
The timer is not engaged.
Timer Recording may not work
when the recorders input mode is
set to "F-1" for recording on the DV
deck, because the recorder is
waiting for the signals through DV
IN/OUT (i.Link) connector.
Timer recording is in progress.
The timer is engaged but there’s no
cassette loaded.
VHS deck
The loaded cassette has had its
Record Safety tab removed.
DV deck
The loaded cassette has had its erase
protection switch set to "SAVE".
TIMER RECORDING
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Confirm that the camcorder is
properly connected.
Set the input mode to "L-1", "L-2" or
"F-1".
Set "SOUND MODE" to "12BIT" at
the original recording ( pg. 35).
Set the tape speed to SP (DV cassette)
or SP/LP (VHS/S-VHS cassette) at the
original recording.
Monitor the sound using the
connected devices.
Perform Random Assemble Editing
again.
Dubbing from the NTSC tape to the
Mini DV tape is not possible.
Dubbing from the NTSC tape to the
Mini DV tape is not possible.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The camcorder has not been

the beginning of the dubbing start
point is not dubbed.
9. When starting Tape Dubbing, the
recorder stops dubbing after a few
seconds and ejects both the VHS
and Mini DV tapes.
10.When starting Normal Dubbing,
the recorder stops dubbing after a
few seconds.
