INSTALLATION
Each individual appliance is checked at the factory but, for
safety’ssake,afterunpacking,youshouldcheckcarefully
that the appliance has not been damaged during transport.
• Checkwhetherthereisanyvisibledamage(e.g.inthe
form of dents or similar), if the door (3) closes properly,
and if the hinges are in order.
• Iftheapplianceappearstohavebeendamaged,
contact the shop where you bought it, and do not use
it until it has been checked by an authorised specialist.
Installation place
For the appliance to function correctly, it should be
installed in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and at a
distance from sources of heat. The ambient temperature
mustbeat16ºC–32ºC.Donotusetheapplianceinan
unheated kitchen, a shed, a conservatory or a garage.
The appliance can be installed as a free-standing appliance
orinabuilt-incupboard.Underallcircumstances,itmust
beplacedadjacenttoawall.Theappliancemustbe
installedonaat,levelsurfacethatcansupporttheweight
of the appliance and its contents.
Installation:
1. Placetheapplianceinasuitablelocation,adjacentto
a wall. The ventilation panel at the rear of the appliance
should touch the wall.
o There must be clearance of at least 50 mm from
the top of the appliance and 25 mm to each side
oftheappliancetoensuresufcientventilation.
o Make certain that the appliance does not rest on
the cord.
o Parts that become hot must not be exposed.
2. Make sure that the appliance is level and that it cannot
tipforwards.Toadjustthepositionoftheappliance,
alignthescrewsonthefeetwithngersoraspanner.
o For best results, allow the appliance to tip slightly
backwards. This will ensure that the door cannot
open by itself.
3. After installation, allow the appliance to stand for 2
hours before switching it on, to allow the coolant to
settle.
NOTE!Takecarewhenmovingtheappliance.Itisvery
heavy.
PREPARING THE APPLIANCE
1. Beforeuse,checkthatyouhaveremovedalltransport
packaging inside and out.
2. Clean the appliance using warm water and a little
bicarbonate of soda (5 ml per ½ litre of water). Never
use soap or detergent as these can give off odours.
Never use detergents containing bleaching agent or
spirit. Allow the appliance to dry completely before
use.
CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE
1. After installation, allow the appliance to stand for 2
hours before switching it on, to allow the coolant to
settle.
2. Plug in and switch on the power.
3. Setthetemperatureregulationbutton(1)tothe
requiredsetting(seebelow:Settingthetemperature
regulation button).
4. Allowtheappliancetorunemptyforapproximately4
hoursuntilithasreachedatemperatureof-18ºC.
USING THE APPLIANCE
The appliance is intended for long-term storage of
frozen foods (up to 3 months or in accordance with
themanufacturer’sinstructions)andforfreezingfresh
food produce. The temperature inside the appliance is
controlled automatically by a thermostat that ensures a
constanttemperatureof-18ºC.Tocheckthetemperature
inside the appliance, place a thermometer between the
frozen food for a few minutes before reading the gauge.
Remove the thermometer from the appliance and read
the gauge immediately. The temperature reading will rise
rapidly.
