2. Restructuring of brickwork around stove insert (Drawing D)
During the reconstruction, the outer casing should be carefully levelled off at a suitable
height. Remember a conduit pipe for the electricity supply (12 volt) to the blowers. As the
reconstruction progresses, there should be a gap of min. 3 mm between the brickwork and
the outer casing. Any brickwork stretching across the outer casing must be self-supporting.
Fire tubes and any convection ducts to other rooms should be fitted to the outer casing
during the reconstruction.
The outer casing is not load-bearing. Therefore, fire tubes exceeding 2 m in length and,
possibly, the chimney, must be secured (using hangers) thus avoiding putting any load on
the outer casing.
When the reconstruction has been completed, mount the stove insert as described in A
and B.
Fitting the loose parts
(Drawing E)
Before you start using the stove insert, you must ensure that all loose parts are fitted correctly.
(Drawing E1)
1. Smoke shelf of steel suspended under top cover.
2. Smoke shelf of Vermiculite. Rests on back edge, and front edge rests on brackets fitted to
the sides. The smoke shelf is fitted with a rounded steel front edge.
3. Cover plate in HWAM Classic 10/60. This is placed on top of the grate to prevent embers
from falling into the ash pan.
4. The transformer for the blowers should always be connected to an electrical socket.
The blowers must be switched on when the stove insert is in use. They are switched on and
off manually.
5. Ash pan available in HWAM Classic 10/60 only.
Handles (Drawing E2)
6. The damper in the door regulates the rinsing air that keeps the glass free from soot. This is
also the secondary combustion air which is led into the combustion chamber.
7. The primary air is regulated by a sensor and the automatic damper on the right side of the
liner.
8. The primary air is led to the combustion chamber through a channel beneath the bottom and
is fed to the layer of embers by the guide plate (8) at the front of the combustion chamber.
9. The automatic sensor can be adjusted inside the stove.
