upper
thread
The
dial
which
regulates
the
tension
of
the
upper
thread
is
graduated
from
0—10.
The
higher
the
number,
the
tighter
the
tension.
Normal
thread
tension
is
obtained
by
setting
the
dial
at
the
white
dot.
Your
machine
has
been
tested
using
the
thread
which
accom
panies
it
and
with
the
thread
tension
dial
at
the
white
dot.
If
using
a
coarser
thread,
it
may
be
necessary
to
alter
the
thread
tension
slightly.
Also
the
type
of
fabric
may
require
that
the
tension
be
adjusted.
There
is
also
a
mark
on
the
thread
tension
dial
for
the
tension
that
is
suitable
for
making
buttonholes.
This
setting
is
also
suitable
for
satin
stitching,
decorative
stitching,
topstitching,
embroidering,
etc.
