OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INTERCONNECTION
Connect the RCA SUB OUT of the headunit with the RCA jacks LINE INPUT of the amplifier with appropriate high-value RCA cables.
Connect the subwoofer with the speaker outputs (SPEAKER OUTPUT + / -) by using appropriate wires.
Please ensure, that the total impedance load of subwoofer is not lower than 1 ohm. Too low impedance cause high
temperature and will shut down the amplifier operation.
Always ensure the correct polarity of the speakers. The interchange of plus and minus cause total loss of bass playback and could
damage the speakers.
OPERATION MODE SWITCH
• The OPERATION MODE switch must be in position MASTER.
X-OVER MODE SWITCH
• The X-OVER MODE switch must be in position FULL.
LEVEL CONTROLLER
• Turn the LEVEL controller of the amplifier to the 9V position.
• Turn the volume controller of the headunit to 80 - 90% of its full setting.
• Turn the LEVEL controller clockwise until you hear some distortion.
• Then turn back the LEVEL controller slightly until you hear a cleaner sound.
EXTENDED BASS CONTROL
• The SUB BOOST controller adjusts the bass enhancement between 0db and +18dB.
• A too high bass boost may cause clipping/distortion and damage on the loudspeakers and also may harm your hearing abilities.
Use this controller carefully!
• Please note the further information (EXTENDED BASS CONTROL) on page 19 (Section #3).
LOW PASS CONTROLLER
The LOW PASS controller is without function in this operation mode.
SUB SONIC CONTROLLER
The SUB SONIC controller is without function in this operation mode.
PHASE CONTROLLER
The PHASE SHIFT controller is without function in this operation mode.
INTERCONNECTION EXAMPLE: FULL-Mode with 1 Subwoofer
Connect stereo RCA output
(SUB OUT) of the headunit with
LINE INPUT R/L of the amplifier
R
L
Subwoofer
1 – 8 Ohms
Switch position = MASTER
An additional subwoofer can be
connected to the non-occupied
speaker outputs. In this case
ensure an impedance of 2 - 8
ohms per subwoofer.
HINWEIS!
FULL RANGE MODE
The FULL mode is only meaningful with a subwoofer, if your headunit is equipped with an separate suwboofer lineout and the audiosignal
is already modfied by the headunit filters like lowpass, subsonic and phase. In the FULL mode the filter functions of the amplifier wil be
bypassed and this avoids a additional filter modification of the audio signal, because the signal of the headunit is already modified.
Please check the operation manual of your headunit.
Switch position = FULL
