The snatching duel
A fairy-tale game for two quick players ages 4-99.
Aim of the Game
Who will have collected the most dwarf cards by the end of the
game?
Preparation of the Game
Spread the 15 snatching cards with the side of the card which
shows the three fairy tale figures face up, on the center of the
table, at a confortable equal reaching distance between both
players.
Shuffle the dwarf cards and deal 15 cards face down to each
player. Each player piles up their cards without looking at them.
The giant cards, the fairy-tale card and the hammer are not
needed and are kept in the box.
How to Play
You play in turns. The player who is able to knock without
making almost any sound may start. If you can not agree, the
younger player starts.
Turn over the card from the top of your pile. Flip it towards the
center of the table. Be quick so that you and the other player can
see the card at the same time.
You both have to try to find the corresponding snatching card in
the center and try to be the first to place your hand on it.

New round:
The “knocker” passes the hammer and the fairy-tale card on to
the next player in a clockwise direction. This placer then takes
the dwarf card on top and a new round starts.
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as a player has collected their fourth
dwarf card. They win the game and are the biggest dwarf of all
times.
Variation for professionals
The rules are the same as in the basic game, except for the
following changes:
The snatching cards are placed with the four figures face up in
the center of the table.
The dwarf cards remain in the game box.
Play with the 30 blue giant cards: they show 4 fairy-tale figures
each.
Whoever accepts the challenge will become the tallest giant of
all times.
