Preparation
Spread the sea map out in the center
of the table. Each player takes an eye
patch, a long glass and a sailor.
Pin the sailor to the big stripey
starting square shown on the sea
map.
Shuffle the treasure cards and keep
them in a pile face-down next to the
sea map. Get the hour glass ready.
Place the pirate's coin back into the box as it will be used only for the
pirates' game variation.
How to Play
The player who most recently has been on a ship starts the game. If you
can not agree, the youngest player starts and is Capt'n Look first, the
other players are the sailors.
To begin all sailors should put on their eye patch. Place the long glass to
the other eye so that the big opening is toward you.
Watch out: You may not look at the sea map yet! Best to look at the
ceiling or watch the other players.
Now it's the turn of Capt'n Look: Draw eight cards from the pile and dis-
tribute them face-up randomly on the sea map making sure they don't
touch each other. Then shout the starting signal “Treasure Ahoy”and turn
the hour glass over.
All at once the sailors search through their long glass for the treasures
trying to remember as many of them as possible.
