How to play

Play in a clockwise direction. The player with the most syllables in their ﬁrst name starts.

Each turn consists of three sequential actions:

1. Draw a picture card

2. Sound out the syllables

3. Move playing piece

1. Draw a picture card

For the ﬁrst turn since you are in the secret headquarters in the middle of the board,

you can take a picture card from whatever stack you like. For subsequent turns, draw

a picture card from the stack in the color of the city area in which your playing piece is

located. Place the card face up in front of you and think of a descriptive word for the

picture.

2. Sound out the syllables

Once you have found a suitable word, say the word out loud and sound out the syllables

so everyone can hear them. All of the other players have to conﬁrm whether your word

ﬁts the number of syllables.

• Ifyousoundedoutthewordcorrectly,i.e.thesoundedoutsyllablesmatchthe

number of syllables in your word, then you may move your playing piece (see

"Move playing piece").

• Ifthenumberofsoundedoutsyllablesdoesnotmatchthenumberofsyllables

of your word, then the other players have to correct you. Sound out the word

again with the right number of syllables and then move your playing piece (see

"Move playing piece").

• Ifyoucan‘tthinkofawordwiththerightnumberofsyllables,orifyouwordhas

nothing to do with the picture on the card, then you cannot move your playing

piece
