ADJUSTING THE SATELLITE RECEIVER
___________
Adjusting the satellite receiver to the satellite antenna
and to the LNB configuration
In order to adjust the satellite receiver in an optimum way to the different antenna
systems, a number of LNB configurations are available.
For every configuration you want to use you must enter the oscillator frequencies
(L.O. Low und L.O. High) of the LNB into the »LNB Configuration« menu.
Depending on the selected LNB configuration, different switching signals
(0/22 kHz and DiSEqC #1...#4 – inclusive ToneBurst, also called MiniDiSEqC)
are emitted when changing the channel position to select the LNB and its
frequency range necessary for the reception.
This satellite receiver provides the following signals for switching between the
satellite antennas and the LNB’s.
0/22 kHz: the 0/22 kHz signal switches between the low (0 kHz) and high
(22 kHz) frequency range.
DiSEqC Digital Satellite Equipment Control.
#1 - #4: if the satellite antenna and LNB configuration is equipped for
(inclusive the reception of more than one satellite, a separate control
ToneBurst) signal must be emitted for each satellite, e.g. »DiSEqC #1« for
the ASTRA satellite and »DiSEqC #2« for the EutelSat/Hotbird
satellite.
Note
Your antenna technician or specialized dealer which has installed your
antenna system will be glad to provide you with detailed information about
all settings required.
